Im not a parent myself but I would say the first on that evidence but they/you cant be completely unfair with it because that can make a bad behavioured child worse if they think your favoring one over the other. I suppose it depends how bad the friend is, how safe the lake is and how hard of a time they have been giving you?

Cause my friend invited me to the river again this year but last year my mom said no yet let my sister go to this stupid camp

The friend btw, invited her to a sleep over but wasnt answering or letting her in the house at 9 pm because she "fell asleep"

And the lake was off limits

Meanwhile im just laying around at home with cabin fever because I didny go out at all the entire summer break

Also my sister just cusses out my mom and refuses to do the chores as soon as my mom tells her to do em and sometimes I have to deal with the aftermath

And by treated better it wasn't my parents it was my grandmother, forgot to clarify. I would say if they where aloud you should of been as well. I know when i went to girl scout camp my sister was allowed to as well (once she was actually a girl scout)

I had the same issues with my sister but i didnt get on them right away either but far sooner then my sister had.

My mom tried to keep it fair, maybe favoring me a bit in some aspects, since my grandma wasnt always nice to me and as my mother puts it she 'saw what my mom(my grandma) did to me(her) when she was younger happening to you(me).' I was quoting her directly but it sounded weird in the sentence.

Ah i was often at home with my grandmother since my mom and dad where both out working. My mom became a bus driver and lunch monitor for out school/school district because it could help her spend a bit more time with us.

Like she complains about us a lot and says really bad things towards us but this whole permission thing is what really gets to me, like im about to be a whole 17 year old and not only does she still not trust me she fukin expects us to act like adults despite her still babying us

My grandmother was that way. I was literally staying up at her apartment taking care of her after her mastectomy (i was the only one who could as everyone else had a job). I over heard her saying I didnt do much and to my face that she would never vouch for me getting an apartment there dispite the fact i cooked, cleaned, took care of her medical stuff(not gonna get into all of it since im not sure how grossed out you want to be about it), kept her company and in general did far more then she ever gave me credit for.

@Mango Gummi I’m 18 and the same shit is going on with me. I’m 19 in July, but I’m forced to do everything my mom wants, I’m not allowed to have a job or I’ll be kicked out, and I have to watch my 2 year old sister all day every day while my asshole twin gets to talk down to me like a dog pretty much protected by my mom, if I say anything back to anyone I’m disrespectful and a liar.

I’m being forced to go to college, while my grades have never really been great and somehow my parents get extremely angry when I’m not pulling in all A’s, and they expect me to “pay rent”, when I piss them off, when I have literally no money at all and they pay for my school.
