@Runescape Drop Out you like electronics, why aren't you using an electric shaver ?
my remington is awesome, and no hassle as it's dry shaving
Don't get me wrong, electronics are cool. The more I learn about them, the more I realise how fucked I'd be if I depended on them and then the electronics industry collapsed (unlikely, but a lot of supply chains have to come together to produce the tech we use).
I also really like old practical tools. I use a fountain pen, mechanical watch and a safety razor. The sort of tools that fathers passed to their sons in the past.
I do have a hair clipper for cutting my hair though, as doing that with scissors would be a pain XD
If I can avoid putting electronics somewhere to improve reliability, I would. But they have their place.
Of course I never say this to the company I work for XD
Buy more goods good worker slaves š
^ my thoughts exactly. I love electronics but my knowledge has shown me how foolish it is to depend on them
Not only that, how foolish it is to build a world around them
@Happy Humble Hermit will you make a video on the Youtube/Coppa 2020?
I'm not dependent on them, I'd just use them as long they are there,
and if they're not there, I'll switch to caveman mode, <:lolz:480186121897377792>
until I rediscover the ancient non electronic tools <:CRUSADEE:585703763126255641>
I'd rather work towards developing, ragged, reliable tech. But first I want to earn good money š
Anyone up for tuxkart today?
A universal portable handset. One that is accessible and verifiable for security reasons. One that can be upgraded with non-verified, proprietary modules (LTE, 5G) but allows them minimum access to the entire system. And one that has a long operating life - decades.
Perhaps @c00kieCruncher
looool, yeah, maybe in 50 years we'll have something like that š
Hehe, or in a couple of years š
the problem are again the normies, they don't need that, so they wont pay for that
That's why I'd rather design on open-hardware variant first, so that people could manufacture a device that meets the specification I set for the platform
At first you could make it from standard modules, then as demand rises, batch production
yeah, I hope wth risc v stuff, we sooner or later reach that stage
You make the main spec open and available, allowing firmware and software people to write code and verify, while leaving the implementation of the batch device closed, at least for a time
Let's hope so
That's why I really liked the idea of the MEGA65 device. Uses a modified 6502 processor for the main system, and powers on unsafe, proprietary modules only when needed
oh and btw, to that shaving topic

I guess these safety razors are indeed the better choice,
bc
1. gilette sucks
2. these multiblade razors irritate the skin much more
I find this video pretty convincing
but I'll stay in the dry shave team, I got a lot less skin irritation from that, and it's good enough, if needed
usually I'm using my hair clipper anyway to get my 3 day beard <:lolz:480186121897377792>
Hehe
I did notice less irritation compared to the three blades, but after getting used to the safety razor (took a couple of weeks as I shave every three-four days)
@conker @c00kieCruncher @Punished Korgoth tux kart?
yeah in 10 min or so
If anyone else is interested in supertuxkart, we can fit 4 more people (8 max)
Sounds like a plan @conker @Runescape Drop Out
Hey guys
@Runescape Drop Out Could we also play sometime next week as well?
I'm realizing more and more the average life is nothing but distractions.
yeah
oh it is @ResolvingParadox13 , really is
