China is fairly stable under the current Government
I don't support the lack of liberties they have
But i think in the long term China would be better then the EU
Plus they have some good concepts
That’s a nice way of saying concentration camps, massacres, mass rape, re education camps and the obliteration of minority cultures
I don't support that
Yea you just like their stability gained from these acts
And think China is still generally better
But the EU has done bad things to like supporting hate speech laws
And a more sane government
You are so brainwashed
Yea because trying to stop hate speech
An Authoritarian Government like China has it's benefits
Is as bad as fucking gulags
You utter idiot
No I’m done talking to you
The EU is taking all the negatives of Authoritarianism and none of the positives
You are insanely brainwashed
That’s it’s genuinely worrying
They have been authoritarian enough to cause protests yet is not authoritarian enough to stop them
would you move to China?
No
so you think that china's authoritarianism has its upsides and you can see the downsides
dont you think on balance you get a worse deal?
would you see that level of control in europe? im struggling to see how you figure the positives outweigh the negatives
Authoritarianism has it's benefits and it's downsides
China has been authoritarian long enough to gain most of those benefits
Such as Stability for instance
The EU is still at the start of Authoritarianism and thus only has the downsides
Such as opposing Liberty enough to cause significant opposition
So what i am essentially saying is if i had to choose between a newly created Authoritarian EU and a Developed Authoritarian China i would choose China
>opposing liberty enough to cause significant opposition
It's not that EU opposes liberty enough to cause opposition whereas china does not, it's that in China's case, there's no opposition left
But I get it, you like your human rights stripped from you in one move, not overtime <:smugon:512048583806025739>
Well to an extent
If i knew my Human Rights were going to be taken away i would rather have them taken away instantly so i could get used to it instead of the Government slowly taking them away while pretending to care about rights
If they are going to be taken away anyway then there is no point delaying the inevitable
theyre voting now
Hopefully it passes
Although if both Labour and the Conservatives support it i would imagine that it will
