Muslim women don’t choose to wear hijabs btw
Well most don’t
Most that get the choice don’t wear them, those that do are usually pressured by authority figures like husbands or parents
the fact that they would think of a husband as a "authority figure" is probably half the problem
That is the sole problem tbh
It’s a problem with the culture of Islam
Even if they want to, they should be free too
And I know a lot more about the culture then probably most people do here I’ve been around it a lot with family
Very authoritarian censorship based
People should be able to wear what they want without a doubt though
Simply not a Tory fan, Boris or not
Not old enough to vote but I don’t think I’d ever vote Tory eben if it was for brexit
They're far too beholden to corporations and business and not to their ideological roots
People can’t be free when you’re being oppressed by corporations
oppressed?
I think that’s the right word
they certainly wield undue power over the electorate
you mean like the social tech corps?
Not only that but certainly yes
oppressing who tho? ... their users/product?
the citizenry
so their product
no
Society as a Whole of say
the people who use social media are their product.... which they sell
Have you not heard of corporate political meddling
you mean like lobbying?
And companies are free to ban what they want it doesn’t mean they should
Lobbying that’s the word lmfao
in part lobbying
when political parties prioritise the needs of corporations above the electorate
Only way to combat bigmtech censorship is by using companies that don’t censor
How the market works
nope
regulation
Regulation sure
Likema digital bill of,rights
you dont really need regulation... at least not new regs
and preventing them buying up companies that give them monopolies and vertical integration
But I was talking about how to combat it right now
