It's based around the notion that a man is manly because of his sexual prowess, and it is opposite to the sort of guy that is highly successful with women. It's not that the men labeled as incels haven't had sex, it is that they can't. Their game is too weak.

@ubermensch Anywho. I'm sure feminists misuse the term in some fashion. Like most things, I am not interested in adopting their definitions. Incels as a group pre-exist the current feminist wave, and the stereotypes about them predate the wave as well. The most prominent of those stereotypes is the common notion that women having a choice in whether or not sex happens is a bad thing, and they wish for things like government provided prostitutes and/or legalized rape in some form.

It's a reaction to those ideas that often put incels on the hate-radar of feminists.
