I actually abstain from pork for the same reason and I'm neither Hebrew nor Muslim. They will literally eat their own shit and secrete white pus out their legs and eat that too and that shit gets into the meat and into you.
Genetically, they're very similar to humans, which is why pig heart valves can work in people. I've heard that supposedly human meat tastes like pork (guess they asked cannibals that at some point), which would make sense. I first abstained in college and went without it for over a month, then almost got sick after trying it again. Presumably my body had detoxed from it and learned to reject it. I used to work in a kitchen and eventually couldn't handle pork for long periods without it making me gag cuz I would always be reminded of the human flesh association.
