Mauler isn't a eceleb lol
I forget the name of the "law" but the difficulty of keeping something secret is exponential on the number of people who know the secret.
And I wouldn't say Rogue One was a "good" film. It was about average.
I mean, it's solid gold compared to the fanfiction that Disney's been putting out.
The big accomplishment is that Rogue One was good enough to be accepted as cannon in with the rest of the pre-Disney era cannon.
maybe... but if you were actually paying attention, there wasn't a glaring plot hole in New Hope that necessitated an entire movie to explain it
Rogue One had no purpose to exist other than to make money
So?
It's just another example of Disney milking a franchise instead of respecting it
Iunno, I'd say Rogue One had proper respect for it still, if only because it acknowledged cannon and didn't fuck with it, merely thought to elaborate on a throw-away statement from New Hope.
ffs, they're doing it to their own animated movies
>Be super secret organisation
>Exist for hundreds of years
>Keep every single thing you do a secret
If I want to watch Aladdin, I'd rather watch the far superior animated version
Will Smith was like the only thing good in the new one
you people still care about starp warts?
Rogue one didn't need to exist, but it at least managed to stay true to the OT art style and didn't go insanely hard with the woke virtue signalling
I mean I am glad I didn't give a fuck prior, but the franchise would be dead to me at this point
The most woke thing about it was the simple fact it had a female lead, otherwise nothing sticks out in my memory
Honestly it didn't even feel like virtue signalling. I didn't realize the casting for the heroes had gone full "muh diversity" until others pointed it out.
'cause they didn't really flaunt that fact
they just did it
goddamnit
Kinda hope that this becomes the new Loss.
no you see, new star wars is virtue signal-y because the wahmen and minorities are depicted as epic awesome heroes despite fucking up just as bad as they do irl
I actually liked the new Aladdin
here's the thing, I actually wanted Jin Erso being a woman to be more of a factor, which you CAN do that without coming across as feminist (although Hollywood writers apparently can't fathom this concept). As it stands, Jin Erso could be a male character and it would have absolutely no effect on the plot.
^^^^^^^^^^^^
saw this quote somewhere, it's 100% right IMO: feminism makes otherwise happy women miserable by turning them into inferior men
yup
U r bogit
ratsis
you can apply the same thing to a lot of the other "female empowerment movies" Hollywood has crapped out
that one, thx
np
That's an interesting point though
