Looks like cheese graters with safety filled holes
You had it on the left most side, not very convenient to engage, so you would only bother when you have parked
@Edog speaking of cheese graters, seems Mercedes is indeed the Apple of the automobile industry.
Ehh. They aren’t that big
Well, >used to be reliable, innovative brands
>newer products are outlandishly expensive and now need shitloads of accesories to make their products run effectively
The idea was that in a rally car they would have an actual e-brake handle actuated by the driver, locking the wheels in a smart way (a version of ABS) and a car would still have an actual purpose-made parking brake too
Not as stupid when you know the details
>spare parts are getting harder to get for you to maintain the product yourself, and you're forced to rush to the dealer
>repairs it for ridiculous pricing that you might just as well get a new product instead
>unlike previous years, outright showing off they ripped off ideas from smaller brands
lol, indeed
BMW is less sleazy in all of these regards
Not to mention that BMW are the only truly green company I know of
Instead of yelling at you to pay green tax, they just went an bough a hydroelectric dam to produce CO-neutral carbon fibers
They don't just yap about being green, they just do it
And don't even make a big deal out of it either
True that
Everytime (And as an offroad nut especially) I see a G-Wagen I cringe a bit
Especially if it's driven by airheads who don't know what the vehicle even was for
Benz shit on the legacy of a great car by jacking up the price and destroying the niche it was once known for. A off-roader now just an expensive mall-crawler for those Starbucks sipping basic bitches in LA who drive past the shitholes of Skid Row in indifference to get the latest iPhone. Yeah, that's the image that a G-Wagen gives me now.
also, merc removed their dalai lama quote ad
Of course they will
Otherwise wouldn't the Chinese people send all their Mercs to the scrapyard?
Funny as lots of CCP members love to travel in their Benz cars.
oh wow
I just learned an interesting detail
Merc 190E used differential lock as a parking brake
So... that "parking break" was only a parking break when the car was fully stopped
Punching that pedal while moving would only lock the differential and won't destroy anything
Also useful to get unstuck from mud or snow
Holy crap that was really thought through
Finally found one picture of the foot-pedal-parking-brake
VB LONG NECK
knegurrrrrrrrrrssss
I don't get it
