>"I know little of history of US interventions, and am generally uninformed on the matter, but trust me, the US just shouldn't do it"
Yeah, sure.

2019-09-18 15:20:11 UTC

I'll admit i don't know much about the Pinochet case but i will still stand by the Principle that the US shouldn't intervene

2019-09-18 15:20:30 UTC

I’m generally against US intervention to depose people, because they generally end up with dictators. However, if the USA was to depose an authoritarian and unpopular leader, I’d be all for it TBH

2019-09-18 15:21:01 UTC

bring back saddam tbh

2019-09-18 15:21:12 UTC

@2K tbh yeah

2019-09-18 15:21:18 UTC

Well, since you seem to be claiming that Korea would be doing better if it was all communist, it's hard to take your principles seriously.

2019-09-18 15:21:21 UTC

He was at least stable

2019-09-18 15:21:27 UTC

Ghadaffi too

2019-09-18 15:21:46 UTC

A lot of the issues with regime change in the modern day have been that we get rid of a dictator who was keeping islamists out of power

2019-09-18 15:21:59 UTC

*WOULD; Freudian slip there

2019-09-18 15:22:04 UTC

@leavethisbotnet I am saying that it could have been because North Korea was actually doing reasonably well before it lost the war

2019-09-18 15:22:17 UTC

Ermm

2019-09-18 15:22:25 UTC

Not so sure about that

2019-09-18 15:22:27 UTC

yeah, it had _nothing_ do to with the fact that communism is just terrible system

2019-09-18 15:22:29 UTC

nothign at all

2019-09-18 15:22:42 UTC

X to doubt

2019-09-18 15:22:45 UTC

I mean, it had _only_ 60 years to recover

2019-09-18 15:22:58 UTC

How do you expect them to recover in such a short time?

2019-09-18 15:23:31 UTC

Heaven forbid they became an economic power by becoming capitalist, then they might have recovered quickly

2019-09-18 15:23:34 UTC

Kim Il-sung was a semi-decent leader in North Korea and it could have continued doing well if it took over the South, The combination of his death and their loss in the War made North Korea what it is today

2019-09-18 15:23:56 UTC

So, you are a communist?

2019-09-18 15:24:02 UTC

No

2019-09-18 15:24:05 UTC

Not even close

2019-09-18 15:24:10 UTC

a moron then

2019-09-18 15:24:11 UTC

Didn't Kim Il-Sung build a dam that caused shitloads of his people to starve?

2019-09-18 15:24:21 UTC

well, not that that's mutually exclusive

2019-09-18 15:24:27 UTC

I just oppose the idea of Intervention that i would be willing to allow Communist Countries to exist without intervening

2019-09-18 15:24:41 UTC

Lmao

2019-09-18 15:24:49 UTC

“But he was decent tho”

2019-09-18 15:24:52 UTC

so ancap

2019-09-18 15:25:03 UTC

Decent compared to other Communist leaders

2019-09-18 15:25:05 UTC

that's about as stupid as communism
just less dangerous

2019-09-18 15:25:06 UTC

Compare him to Mao

2019-09-18 15:25:09 UTC

Doubt

2019-09-18 15:25:19 UTC

Marxist governments are inherently illegitimate and their existence is an existential threat to non-Marxist nations

2019-09-18 15:25:32 UTC

No they really aren't

2019-09-18 15:25:42 UTC

Yes, they really are.

2019-09-18 15:25:43 UTC

>compare him to the guy responsible for 100M deaths
setting the bar quite high there

2019-09-18 15:25:52 UTC

If the people elect a Communist Government let them deal with the consequences of it
