And decades
You’re a pretty powerful person for what you are
But you don’t wield enough power to dismantle their in group bias
Civilization is unnatural
quick errybody back to the caves
Something being natural isn’t always good, like marriage for example, 80% of women will usually date the top 20% of men. It’s just that to maintain this institution you need a lot, **a lot** of social pressure
My argument is that Sargon doesn’t have the kind of social pressure
Marriage is a relic of a bygone era
Yep, and you can see the results of that
30-40, divorce is common
I thought it was 50% of marriages end in divorce, but maybe the number has went down since people aren’t even marrying from the start.
I mean't age
Well that’s what happens when you try marketing marriage into being super expensive and the government doesn’t help people out
Oh ok
Well its glorified isn't it
supposed to be some final goal, happiest day in existence, some unending bond
I suppose part of that might be the problem, expecting that new love to last forever.
Actually
The way forward is to end divorce courts aka "family courts"
Men won't take suffrage back from women, won't happen. However, if we can dismantle divorce courts then there'll be an economic revolution that would have a similar effect as installing parts of the patriarchy again would (only liberal this time).
You could go a long way towards disincentivizing divorce by abolishing welfare
Just saying
point
or at least cut welfare to people who can demonstrate need and who enter a work rehabilitation program
I would like welfare but instead for single moms it would be for families
You see, I think in America we have it ass backwards, it’s like socialism for the rich
Welfare isn’t bad, but should be used to incentivize hard working people
Not leeches
Maybe some sort of study can be done to see how long it takes people on welfare who are looking for work to get off of welfare. And then set a date to when someone's welfare ends. If someone needs more time make a system in place where they can apply.
I recommended reading up on the new Austrian welfare system
I hope auto translating it suffices for proper understanding

@Snake it's a contradictory move, to try to subsidize people in a capitalist system by removing their impetus to compete
I’m talking about people who have families
Not business owners
Or a college student trying to buy a house
A old person who has no family to look after them
Working class Americans
@ETBrooD i like the graduated per-child benefits, since welfare children are a big problem in the US
Also there should be a condition that the mother and father are together
There should never be a "too big to fail" concept in a capitalist society
@Snake working class Americans would be better served in their old age by a robust economy providing jobs that build their retirement benefits, over welfare
Yeah that doesn’t happen though
