I would like welfare but instead for single moms it would be for families

2019-09-28 21:45:49 UTC

You see, I think in America we have it ass backwards, it’s like socialism for the rich

2019-09-28 21:46:09 UTC

Welfare isn’t bad, but should be used to incentivize hard working people

2019-09-28 21:46:11 UTC

Not leeches

Maybe some sort of study can be done to see how long it takes people on welfare who are looking for work to get off of welfare. And then set a date to when someone's welfare ends. If someone needs more time make a system in place where they can apply.

I recommended reading up on the new Austrian welfare system
I hope auto translating it suffices for proper understanding

@Snake it's a contradictory move, to try to subsidize people in a capitalist system by removing their impetus to compete

2019-09-29 02:12:35 UTC

I’m talking about people who have families

2019-09-29 02:12:44 UTC

Not business owners

2019-09-29 02:13:13 UTC

Or a college student trying to buy a house

2019-09-29 02:13:31 UTC

A old person who has no family to look after them

2019-09-29 02:13:55 UTC

Working class Americans

2019-09-29 02:14:35 UTC

@ETBrooD i like the graduated per-child benefits, since welfare children are a big problem in the US

2019-09-29 02:15:03 UTC

Also there should be a condition that the mother and father are together

2019-09-29 02:15:09 UTC

There should never be a "too big to fail" concept in a capitalist society

2019-09-29 02:15:46 UTC

@Snake working class Americans would be better served in their old age by a robust economy providing jobs that build their retirement benefits, over welfare

2019-09-29 02:16:04 UTC

Yeah that doesn’t happen though

2019-09-29 02:16:17 UTC

Because cheap labor flowing from the border

2019-09-29 02:16:29 UTC

You just replace a broken cog

2019-09-29 02:16:57 UTC

The cheap labor problem is a part of the overall economic issue. It's not unsolvable

2019-09-29 02:17:11 UTC

Cheap labor floods in due to the promise of welfare

2019-09-29 02:17:26 UTC

Yeah but that’s because we hand out welfare to illegals

2019-09-29 02:17:38 UTC

We should militarize our borders if need be

2019-09-29 02:17:53 UTC

And welfare should be payed in before hand or back after hand

2019-09-29 02:17:56 UTC

We can save the need for militarizing the border if we just abolish welfare

2019-09-29 02:18:13 UTC

I would militarize the border anyway

2019-09-29 02:18:22 UTC

Since they’ll come for welfare or jobs

2019-09-29 02:18:23 UTC

There'd be little point to it

2019-09-29 02:18:32 UTC

They’ll still come for jobs

2019-09-29 02:18:34 UTC

No gibs = no economic migrants

2019-09-29 02:18:46 UTC

Maybe for europe

2019-09-29 02:18:50 UTC

But not in America

2019-09-29 02:18:57 UTC

Allowing undocumented workers into the country not only depresses the labor market for wages and benefits, but also relies on the exploitation of the imported workers, who can be readily abused on pain of being revealed and deported.

2019-09-29 02:19:07 UTC

Securing the border secures workers' rights.

2019-09-29 02:19:13 UTC

Employing illegals is already a crime, that issue can be solved by simply executing the laws to the basic standard

2019-09-29 02:19:23 UTC

^

2019-09-29 02:19:28 UTC

But it isn’t enforced

2019-09-29 02:19:33 UTC

Because we have traitors

2019-09-29 02:19:35 UTC

But it can be

2019-09-29 02:19:41 UTC

Not really

2019-09-29 02:19:47 UTC

Of course it can.
