Probably none of these are Trump fans, but just calling out the insanity helps to finalize the paradigm shift... which is both beneficial to Republicans and to Democrats.
Of course to obtain any benefit for either, Dems need to lose 2020.
If Trump were to lose, Dems would not reform, and Republicans would return to neoconservativism with failure of populism.
If Trump wins 2020 and serves second term well, or especially if he goes apeshit against neocon positions when he no longer needs to kowtow to them, he could finalize paradigm shift on the rightwing side of the spectrum (basically paving way to Rand or similar fresh reformist).
And Dems really need to fail, since they failed to learn *anything* from failing at 2016.
Both neolib and socialist side learned *nothing*.
The socialists didn't learn because they thought they were fucked by DNC in 2016 (which is true). And they are unlikely to learn now either since Bernie will not only lose to Biden but also to Warren.
Still, they *should* learn that at least cultural Marxism (race-baiting, feminism, etc.) did not help their side. It didn't work for neolibs, it won't work for classical economic socialists either.
But will they learn? I have more faith in Republicans growing wiser than Dems.
The best sign of Democrat side reforming is Tulsi phenomenon. But considering her popularity never peaked even when she got the spotlight single-handedly destroying Kamala's campaign, it means that Dem field is not mentally ready for a paradigm shift that rejects "Orange Man Bad" as a strong argument.
Tulsi has attacked Trump on valid topics: topics that Trump's own voting base are disappointed on Trump. Which shows why Tulsi would be the most dangerous against Trump, since she knows why Trump received votes. She's right there in the anti-war / soft nationalism / national interest camp, calling out Trump for failing his campaign promises. And the Democrat field rejected her, proving that half of USA are under Trump Derangement Syndrome, or just eat the idea of neolibs being the proper way to run the country.
