What's the point where you say okay, that's not democratic

people vote for gov-------->PM/gov------>chooses commisioner

direct democracy is not available yet

But how can they choose someone for the most important job, basically a higher position than their own, without anyone voting for it?

Direct democracy sounds like a complete nightmare.

Why wouldn't it be better for the president/PM to propose a few commissioners and the people to vote for the person they want to represent them?
