Which theoretically means parliament need to be recalled

2019-09-25 05:57:40 UTC

You have missed half of the debate then calbeck

2019-09-25 05:57:45 UTC

The Supreme Court actually noted the Halloween deadline.

2019-09-25 05:57:51 UTC

I read the decision this morning.

2019-09-25 05:57:57 UTC

Since when the fuck could the Supreme Court of the UK declare anything against a democratic referendum

2019-09-25 05:58:03 UTC

They didn't.

2019-09-25 05:58:20 UTC

By oct 31 the PM MUST go to Brussel and ask the EU for an extension or accept whatever deal they offer- this was passed in the house of commons, if he refuses then there is a democratic crisis, the elected leader is "refusing to carry out the will of parliament"

2019-09-25 05:58:32 UTC

It has passed the lords as well

2019-09-25 05:58:44 UTC

They declared that the PM can't advise the Queen to prorogue Parliament, as that's the Privy Council's job... and, incidentally, they also said the Privy Council had so advised the Queen.

2019-09-25 05:58:58 UTC

I personally hope he doesn't, a constitutional crisis would be funny

2019-09-25 05:58:58 UTC

The UK parliament is going to run itself into the ground over this shit

2019-09-25 05:59:00 UTC

Quite the opposite, according to the ruling.

2019-09-25 05:59:34 UTC

cant someone just grab the mace and declare trial by combat

2019-09-25 05:59:49 UTC

It states that an extension must be requested... and that's it, because Parliament ordered the extension request. But the deal itself is outside of UK authority entirely.

2019-09-25 06:00:07 UTC

This is why we need AR-15s tbh

2019-09-25 06:00:09 UTC

If the EU says "we will charge you 1 billion a months" as they are with this temp extension then BoJo must accept it or stand a vote of no confidence, I hope he does the no confidence, because tory will win <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>

2019-09-25 06:00:12 UTC

The extension, in fact, is ONLY required if there is NO deal.

2019-09-25 06:00:28 UTC

And everyone knows it

2019-09-25 06:00:37 UTC

Yep.

2019-09-25 06:00:40 UTC

I strongly suggest you go and rewatch the vote

2019-09-25 06:00:56 UTC

Its already been had, parliament have given him his orders, if he deosn't comply shenanigans begins

2019-09-25 06:01:00 UTC

I'm hoping Parliament ganks themselves. Too bad the Queen's ability to dissolve Parliament got sniped in 2011.

2019-09-25 06:01:05 UTC

They'll argue not having a deal = no deal

2019-09-25 06:01:15 UTC

I'm talking about the Supreme Court's ruling, not the vote.

2019-09-25 06:01:53 UTC

I don't care about the supreme court, the point being made is that the institutions of the land have determined BRexit shouldn't happen regardless of what the people voted- democracy is irrelevant

2019-09-25 06:02:11 UTC

Unfortunately BRexit was required to pull back that veil

2019-09-25 06:02:25 UTC

We now know that our voting is pointless <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2019-09-25 06:03:12 UTC

Well then, execute Order 1776 -:)

2019-09-25 06:03:26 UTC

The only thing that will correct that is if BoJo goes full tilt balls to wall and says "fuck you all were out 31/10"

2019-09-25 06:03:41 UTC

Its not surprising democracy is irrelevant when not only do they have no sense of British values but are in fact anti British

2019-09-25 06:03:49 UTC

Real shocker

2019-09-25 06:04:23 UTC

Dank is great

2019-09-25 06:04:26 UTC

And like I said if he does that immediately a legal case will go against him for not complying with "the law" and secondly a vote of no confidence to force a GE

2019-09-25 06:04:36 UTC

You could almost say he's.... Dank

2019-09-25 06:04:43 UTC

If he is there for a GE tory's win, if he isn't (hence the court case) they will be on the edge

2019-09-25 06:04:48 UTC

Incidentally, the Supreme Court also noted that the referendum is legally binding despite "technically" not being.

2019-09-25 06:05:03 UTC

The courts will take forever to get anything done anyway

2019-09-25 06:05:27 UTC

Doubt they'd reverse it though they'd want to

2019-09-25 06:05:39 UTC

So yes, it's a solid that Parliament is disobeying the law in the form of the referendum.

2019-09-25 06:05:49 UTC

Outside of BoJO and maybe Dominic Raab tories don't have any strong candidates, though the brown dude and lady whose names I have forgotten seem to be very pro BRexit as well 🤷
