Indeed.
Shoe, Armored Skeptic, Raven and a few others have dealt with the same.
GirlWritesWhat and the two other ladies she co-produces with as well.
It doesn't surprise me, given what's been fomenting for some time.
I mean, take a look at literally any part of Erin Pizzey's life and you'll see the effects of radicalization of an ideology.
She starts a place for people of all backgrounds to get help from DV and gets attacked by a political group for giving the truth instead of their narrative. Then she is forced into hiding due to death threats. It's really sad.
well yeah but they could give access to just viewing for those channels. youd still not be able to raid unless you can post
Alexander, a person could broadcast the Discord chat for use that for other purposes.
There's a video I saw where a Buzzfeed shill did just that.
They intentionally joined a known free-thought Discord. They then simply recorded all conversations. This was broadcasted via Twitch and then posted via Youtube. Their subscribers then all reported the channel.
Thus, I'd lock out people who did not agree to the rules too. Simply joining and staying is not an agreement to the rules. Agreeing to the rules is.
oh jeez
yeah that makes sense i guess
like it just takes a recording of one person breaking the rules before the mods catch it and then it's all over
Yeah. This is why EULA and other agreements exist for software. Downloading the software is not agreeing to the rules, nor is installing it. Using it is. Locking you out of use until you agree to the EULA is a binding contract which makes you in the wrong if you do not follow it.
Magna scata is better
In the same way, the rules are posted. This gives new people time to read them (as I did) and agree to follow them. Then one is given access to the server.
yeah but i mean usually you dont even have to worry about legal stuff even if you are doing something not strictly legal. it's just that if youre super public and have made some enemies is when you gotta be worried about legal stuff like this
i mean the rules are kinda "no shit" stuff
the only rule thats not just a given is the nsfw ban
Too many furries here to risk a NSFW channel
with the current climate you don't want to give any of the political opponents anything to hang you with
lul
are furries allowed here?
I think it's got a good logical basis
@Alexanderjac Do you really think we could keep them out?
Right, but we all know that certain people don't follow rules like that and then they deflect saying the rules don't apply to them because they're appealing to a higher power/bandwagon fallacy where whatever ideology they wish to promote is more important than free trade of ideas on an equal field.
you know usually im more of a 'live and let live' kind of guy, but i think the world would be a better place if we just fucking purged all the furries lmao
Honestly, furries have some of the best artists.
That's true but keeping everything perfectly "equal" or "even steven" is impossible to accomplish because of the natural human condition.
We just have to do the best we can and accept some dissention within reason. Things are rarely ever perfect.
well everyone thinks that theyre in the right. how they tolerate differing opinions is what's really telling about a person
Right, Nimble. Equality of Outcome vs Equality of Opportunity.
One cannot have both.
so are you a connoisseur of furry art @Brokkr?
No. It isn't my thing. That being said, I've had people send me sfw furry pictures and they were very well drawn.
Amen on the furry artist comment. I remember browsing deviant art in my youth. It was always a beautiful and slightly disturbing experience
so you would say youve enjoyed furry art before?
Always browse that shit now with parental locks on
@Alexanderjac Enjoyed? Naw. It's not the worst thing in the world but I've probably never been exposed to the most extreme corners of it. It's whatever though. As long as everyone is having fun right?
