Yeah.
Reviewing rules, et al.
Ok, so @Jeremy, basically be myself.
Yeah, instead of trying to reason with individuals who would rather fling excrement in an ad-hominem basis.
I've watched Sargon's videos for a while.
I don't prefer his videos, but not due to content...rather due to presentation.
It is not dissimilar from a classroom setting with a proctor feeding information.
Forgive my typos. Asthma is kicking my butt today.
Well, Epic, in a word: Oxygen.
That is not untrue, Alexander. I have forgotten more than some people will ever learn. I have one working lung. My asthma is atypical of what you're used to seeing.
It's alright. Life happens. What I'm actually curious about is how epic is this alleged epic beard?
I may do that.
That is how roles work, yes.
One big reason for lockdown is to keep people that lobby for shutting down any speech they disagree with from seeing the speech to begin with.
It's an agreement: "You'll play by the same rules as everyone else."
If I recall correctly, there have been attacks against this server from radicals.
Same with Sargon's channel on youtube.
Shoe, Armored Skeptic, Raven and a few others have dealt with the same.
GirlWritesWhat and the two other ladies she co-produces with as well.
I mean, take a look at literally any part of Erin Pizzey's life and you'll see the effects of radicalization of an ideology.
She starts a place for people of all backgrounds to get help from DV and gets attacked by a political group for giving the truth instead of their narrative. Then she is forced into hiding due to death threats. It's really sad.
Alexander, a person could broadcast the Discord chat for use that for other purposes.
There's a video I saw where a Buzzfeed shill did just that.
They intentionally joined a known free-thought Discord. They then simply recorded all conversations. This was broadcasted via Twitch and then posted via Youtube. Their subscribers then all reported the channel.
Thus, I'd lock out people who did not agree to the rules too. Simply joining and staying is not an agreement to the rules. Agreeing to the rules is.
Yeah. This is why EULA and other agreements exist for software. Downloading the software is not agreeing to the rules, nor is installing it. Using it is. Locking you out of use until you agree to the EULA is a binding contract which makes you in the wrong if you do not follow it.
In the same way, the rules are posted. This gives new people time to read them (as I did) and agree to follow them. Then one is given access to the server.
Right, but we all know that certain people don't follow rules like that and then they deflect saying the rules don't apply to them because they're appealing to a higher power/bandwagon fallacy where whatever ideology they wish to promote is more important than free trade of ideas on an equal field.
Honestly, furries have some of the best artists.
Right, Nimble. Equality of Outcome vs Equality of Opportunity.
One cannot have both.
No. It isn't my thing. That being said, I've had people send me sfw furry pictures and they were very well drawn.
I'd say I've enjoyed some of the art, sure. By the same token fantasy art could be considered 'furry'. C.S. Lewis' 'Chronicles of Narnia' with the many talking animals. Any of the Redwall books and their art. Mr. Toad.
I cannot remember what series Mr. Toad is from.
I'd agree with you, Nimble. I'd also point out that the 'degenerates' still enjoy the 'vanilla'.
Very true.
You know you're old when you have memories of printing out images for private purposes from a floppy disc to a dot matrix printer.
I was the only person on my social media platform that mourned the death of Ralph H. Baer.
No one knew who he was.
I feel like anyone who plays video games at all should learn about him.
Haha. I used to have Facebook. It has since been deleted.
Alexander, google him.
Neither was I.
It does count. LinkedIn is what Facebook initially was.
Alexander: I was born in '81.
That's fair, I guess. Still....being the father of gaming consoles as a whole....
If Ralph didn't make the first console you wouldn't have Xbox.
At least not in its current format.
Sure.
Like, the local medics that work at a station near me aren't taught EVOC anymore. They're taught EVD. By the same token, CPR no longer requires breaths like I was taught. It is purely compression. Things change over time.
That said, if I say "Eli Whitney' there has to be a significance.
Atari wouldn't have existed without R. H. Baer. He's the Eli Whitney of video games.
Much like the cotton gin changed farming.
On a segway to another topic....it is a strong belief of mine that the US Civil War would have happened regardless of slavery....but that if the cotton gin had been invented 20 years sooner that war would have happened much later.
One of the reasons I hold this belief is: Expansionism. Every time a state was added to the overall union the North and South would be at odds over power. No different than Democrats and Republicans in our bipartisan system today.
In the history of the world, nearly every country has had a war with itself; nearly every government a war with its people.
Right.
Yeah. That's what led to Charlottesville.
Just, as an example.
In part, a lack of education.
Our public school systems are garbage and people are taught what to think instead of how. So instead of analyzing the situation they pull emotion to the forefront.
A great example of this, on that vein, is the flag that people claim is southern pride. That flag they use is the Virginia battle flag. Not one of the four official flags of the C.S.A.
So, what you have is a bunch of uneducated people claiming it's heritage....which it isn't unless you're from Virginia or directly related to one of the soldiers who were under that specific flag.....and you have another side of uneducated people who think it's a slavery flag.
Right.
...and therein lies the point.
When your beliefs lead to attacking other people who are non-violent, which in turn creates violence and then becomes cyclic (I don't care who started it, but someone did), it is a problem.
Violence is only justified against those who are actively violent.
....and only then in the defense of oneself or another.
Correct.
Extremism and zealotry always lead to it.
The moment you stop accepting that someone is allowed to have another opinion outside of your perspective and proceed to become violent then you're absolutely in the wrong.
This is why I put AntiFa, the KKK and BLM all in the same ilk.
They all follow the same criterium.
That is absolutely true, Gamer. The mass majority of violent political groups have evolved from the Democrat party.
Absolutely.
Nimble, go to youtube. Find 'Louder with Crowder' and look for his undercover with AntiFa.
The KKK have been expanding. Many 'Alt Right' ideologies are pretty much KKKesque.
Heather Heyer was the only death at that rally. She died to a MVC.
The MVC was caused by an AntiFa member who was harassing vehicles with an AR-15. Thus H.H. was indirectly killed by AntiFa. The driver happened to also be a political extremist. He directly killed her.
The cruel twist of fate is the fact that H.H. was a member of AntiFa herself and even had an AntiFa honor guard for her funeral.
The narrative, however, is that H.H. was a 'political equality activist hit by an Alt Right extremist'. Nothing more.
Oh, yeah. The hispanic community is a great example of that.
Right. There's a lot of tribalism.
It's odd. If you're hispanic and an outsider hates on you...you're ALL up in arms. The moment there's no longer a common enemy if you're from Costa Rica and they're from Mexico all bets are off.
On a side note, I've gotten much more constructive relationships...at large...with people born in Africa that come to the US than ones born here who choose to hyphenate.
Poor communities in general, Newt.
The ghetto, the barrio and trailer parks are nearly identical.
Minus the melanin.
I think the government has a lot to do with why those communities are so broken. When there's a social safety net (See Welfare) then families are not encouraged to stay together. Just as one example.
I grew up on base. For the most part, racism was a new concept when I joined civilian life. Even then it really wasn't really tangible until I moved to NC.
Correct, Gamer. That's also a reason why the KKK prospers still. Same ideology on a larger scale.
Yep.
This is why I am not a proponent of hyphenation. Not unless you are a first or second generation immigrant.
As a child with a severe illness my strategy was to find the largest and most aggressive kid in school. Beat them to a pulp. Then my duration at that school was peaceful.
I was meek until the 4th grade. A lot changes when you realize teachers will watch and do nothing.
You didn't know what group to fit into and wanted to be accepted.
Especially due to being supplanted.
Adversity should strengthen.
Sure. Breaking down the walls that cultural Marxism enacted via Feminism will help.
Exactly, or...as I stated earlier. Welfare. People are rewarded for running from a unified family unit by getting paid for having babies.
