come on, an ICE engine is FAR more complex than an EV drivetrain

but EVs have had an R&D push from battery tech for 300 years

battery tech isnt new

but Electric cars are all or nothing

And electronics are *automatically* more complex than mechanical.

EVs haven't directly had much R&D at all, it's just been a waiting game until battery technology was good enough
