PEP doesn't care about the EU making 75% of UK laws because ultimately he sees himself as part of the EU first and the UK second the way an American might see his state and federal government
thats kinda sad
He already acts as if the EU is a federal state
no that IS sad
wtf
He doesn't recognise how mass immigration is a problem, how globalism isn't sustainable, and why people might have been upset by the direction of the last 25 years
wait
what
for real?
man he's out of touch
I assume he sees the UK trying to leave the EU the way an American sees Texas or California trying to secede
No
He doesn't see them as independent nations
He's fully aware EU and USA are not comparable in that way
He believes the delusion nation states in the EU are still sovereign
(he is no different to most pro-EU types, the programming is identical)
ah
I agree with that
so he is brainwashed
f*ck the EU and f%ck the UN
His arguments are actually NPC as in universally used by people of that ilk
That's why whenever "repatriate law making powers" is brought up, the argument "what laws have they passed that has harmed you" is brought up
The answer is "doesn't matter"
But the argument is a pro-Eu npc meme
The EU SHOULD NEVER, NEVER endanger a nations sovereignty
I don't buy that he is under the delusion that the nation states are still sovereign
Because
He constantly draws the conversation back to the economy
"We should not murder x" - "Why not, what has x ever done to help you?"
"Thou shalt not murder"
I very strongly agree with Red Panda
What I constantly bring up when debating 2k and PEP is
Yes, Samaritan, most pro-EU types divert back to the economy, yet don't want to consider the economy is the wider term of globalism and sustainability
I see it as a red herring
He doesn't actually care about the economy
To that obsessed extent
Its why I ask him why he isn't for removing minimum wage and removing the cap on maximum work hours
he just points it out because thats the one thing the EU can do for a nation that MIGHT be good
No
He sees it as the opposite
