@Azusa-chan That was my thinking. If we want more people going into these sectors when we need to make it as accessible and appealing as possible.
If there’s no risk to someone trying for a medical degree. Then more people will try it
If the support is there for people to at least attempt it risk free, then there’s a higher chance they’ll try it
And if they pass, then great we’ve got a new doctor.
If not, then no massive loss
Most drop-outs occur after the first year, I’m pretty sure the cost per year is maximum 9k
free college might not be so bad if it was for men only
So no student tuition in med degrees? Subsidy the auxiliary costs as well? Or nah?
currently there are way too many women in higher ed
No tuition fees for STEMM entirely
We want more people in those fields!
What do you mean by ‘auxiliary’ costs?
The maintenance loan? For accommodation and shit?
Textbooks, med students need a shitton of very expensive ones for example, tools if needed etc
Accomodation would fit into that too
The educational material should be
I’m not sure how I feel on the accommodation, etc
But likely leaning towards free as well
@Anubis We won't get window delivery here. Most places have these safety windows that only open that wide.
It's gay as fuck
I'd say humanities should be free also to prevent champagne socialists from dominating the cultural fields
Fuck the humanities
Science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine only
It’s also where we need people the most
Yeah and you'll have brilliant engineers who can't do shit because socialist elites think science is racist
I'd support free classical humanities
fuck the gay intersectional humanities tho
Sure
We need some of the proper humanities
Law 👀
social sciences will always serve the agenda of the ruling class
Law, history etc
Nah, there are many cases of social sciences being where rebellions began
what are you referring to
The reformation was in large due to the rebellious free thinkers taking advantage of the printing press
i mean this was due to communication outside of the formalized academic institutions yes?
But the academic institutions don’t all think the same
Look at US institutions now, the ruling govt is trump, but many universities are anti trump
trump is just the president
