He's like a laissez faire capitalist minarchist who thinks that family values and religion and just trad ideas are very pro social forces but shouldn't be legally enforced - just encouraged.
In a sense he's a non-socopathic Liberal (which I find to be very rare) 'cause he fully assumes that the Liberal state should be forced on the population to a large degree and isn;t a choice. So democracy can go die in a ditch if it wants to change core state policy.
