@Jack of Trades Killing a kid, and forcing someone to give up a kidney, are two different things

2019-08-03 14:26:36 UTC

@Cooliticoh an ad hominem? I declare victory

2019-08-03 14:26:38 UTC

The moral argument is at the basis of any and all legal arguments. If you don;t agree about the morality of an issue, you can't really pass laws that everyone will be ok with, just saying... Might as well stop arguing and tell Scale you're going to outvote him and he can eat shit. Cause that's what you're gonna do regardless of any way it ends up being rationalized. It's also incidentally what would happen if Scale's position was in the majority, just the other way 'round.

2019-08-03 14:26:43 UTC

@Jack of Trades You dont have the right to do *either*

2019-08-03 14:26:44 UTC

Not at all

2019-08-03 14:26:45 UTC

@Scale_e you're missing the point

2019-08-03 14:26:47 UTC

Bht sure

2019-08-03 14:26:50 UTC

I declare victory

2019-08-03 14:26:51 UTC

Because it's a fundamental moral matter, not some confusion about rules...

2019-08-03 14:26:52 UTC

oki but it's still not comparable

2019-08-03 14:26:55 UTC

If it makes u feel better

2019-08-03 14:27:07 UTC

You aren't allowed to kill a kid.
You aren't allowed to steal a kidney.

2019-08-03 14:27:08 UTC

Go into recovery mode and keep saying u win

2019-08-03 14:27:11 UTC

This isnt complicated.

2019-08-03 14:27:17 UTC

because the kid existed before he needed you to keep him alive

2019-08-03 14:27:41 UTC

@Tonight at 11 - DOOM there is a confusion about rules in addition to the moral matter

2019-08-03 14:27:49 UTC

cool

2019-08-03 14:27:52 UTC

Namely the process in which it came to be legalized

2019-08-03 14:28:03 UTC

but then the moral matter is the important bit anyway, the rest is fluff

2019-08-03 14:28:16 UTC

and if we go the "a foetus is not a person" thing then the baby is a healthy part of the mother and removing it would be self harm

2019-08-03 14:28:18 UTC

maybe

2019-08-03 14:28:23 UTC

They're both important, in different levela

2019-08-03 14:28:41 UTC

it certainly wouldn't be an illness

2019-08-03 14:28:46 UTC

sure Cooltic, whatever u say

2019-08-03 14:28:51 UTC

At the very least

2019-08-03 14:28:54 UTC

@Jack of Trades In an aboriton, what is the action being taken? Killing a kid.
In a kidney transplant, what is the action being taken? Taking a kidney.
That is the action.
Both are morally wrong actions. (Assuming the kidney donor does not give consent, of course)

2019-08-03 14:29:12 UTC

Good im glad we agree

2019-08-03 14:29:21 UTC

It's grounds to ignore any and all bitching when states try to correct the problem caused by SC overreach

2019-08-03 14:29:23 UTC

Ehhh, kidneys should be nationalized anyway...^^

2019-08-03 14:29:29 UTC

But you're not allowed to force someone to use their body in any way ;)

2019-08-03 14:29:35 UTC

Yes u can

2019-08-03 14:29:40 UTC

That is an abstraction.

2019-08-03 14:29:40 UTC

Precedent says you can

2019-08-03 14:29:48 UTC

It's pony time, my white niggers

2019-08-03 14:29:58 UTC

See you later to your boring discussion

2019-08-03 14:29:59 UTC

Assisted self-harm is illegal

2019-08-03 14:30:08 UTC

No lawmaker is saying "A pregnant woman has to do X"
They are saying "No doctor shall kill a kid"

2019-08-03 14:30:10 UTC

Ofc the pedo is also a brony

2019-08-03 14:30:22 UTC

Shits. Not. Complicated.

2019-08-03 14:30:24 UTC

I've beenm arguing about holocaust denial a lot lately

2019-08-03 14:30:37 UTC

Holocaust? More like
