Or they'll be allowed to opt out

2019-08-13 07:02:22 UTC

That sentiment was not shared by 16 of the EU's 27 nations - including Greece, France, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and Poland - which tried to block the changes at a meeting of the Agricultural Management Committee.

2019-08-13 07:02:25 UTC

😄

2019-08-13 07:02:40 UTC

they didn't even try to fight it in 16 counties

2019-08-13 07:02:44 UTC

what the hell

2019-08-13 07:02:56 UTC

"You can take our oddly shaped bananas from our cold, dead hands!"
- Greece, probably.

2019-08-13 07:03:04 UTC

hahahaha

2019-08-13 07:03:07 UTC

There's gonna be lots of opt outs then

2019-08-13 07:03:15 UTC

Probably

2019-08-13 07:03:16 UTC

at least if current trends remian

2019-08-13 07:03:20 UTC

The Greeks do like bananas 😄

2019-08-13 07:03:21 UTC

the EU is fucking weird...can they go fuck themselves?

2019-08-13 07:03:38 UTC

I learned that from history class 😄

2019-08-13 07:03:50 UTC

and this is assuming the big players even DO come to an agreement

2019-08-13 07:03:55 UTC

@saru_richard - Given the EU's stance on gay marriage and sex toys, I'm pretty sure they already do. Regularly.

2019-08-13 07:03:56 UTC

They will

2019-08-13 07:03:57 UTC

which is very difficult

2019-08-13 07:04:01 UTC

It might be watered down initially

2019-08-13 07:04:11 UTC

why do you think they will?

2019-08-13 07:04:16 UTC

@Arthur Grayborn maybe they can invite the UN so both organizations can die quicker

2019-08-13 07:04:17 UTC

because they have so far?

2019-08-13 07:04:18 UTC

Because they have on everything else

2019-08-13 07:04:22 UTC

ye

2019-08-13 07:04:26 UTC

dat is a shit argument

2019-08-13 07:04:32 UTC

There is already an EU foreign minister and agreements in place for foreign policy

2019-08-13 07:04:45 UTC

There is already agreement on policing

2019-08-13 07:04:49 UTC

I know

2019-08-13 07:05:03 UTC

but we are not talking about that

2019-08-13 07:05:22 UTC

you just bring it up because of your tendency to do so I pointed out earlier

2019-08-13 07:05:28 UTC

@Tonight at 11 - DOOM - The problem is creeping federalism.

It's a problem in the EU, just like it is and has been a problem in the United States for the past 200 years. Government authority tends to always increase, never decrease, moving steadily towards despotism over time.

The only time you see a reversal, is during an actual revolution.

2019-08-13 07:05:34 UTC

cause you want to say your shtick

2019-08-13 07:05:40 UTC

kinda

2019-08-13 07:05:41 UTC

not talk about the exact subject

2019-08-13 07:05:56 UTC

all large organizations do that....look at the catholic church

2019-08-13 07:06:05 UTC

then the self destruct in some way

2019-08-13 07:06:09 UTC

@Arthur Grayborn Actual federalization would require war.

2019-08-13 07:06:13 UTC

As it did with the US

2019-08-13 07:06:19 UTC

OK Doom, there won't be single unified EU army under sole EU control able to depose member states, at least not any time soon

2019-08-13 07:06:19 UTC

be it external or internal

2019-08-13 07:06:29 UTC

EU/UN: we don't like Genocide, we want to be peacekeepers
also UN/EU: ignores the UAE ~~ ethnic cleansing ~~ "aggressive negotiations" with Yemen, and half the conflicts in Africa
