It was a privilege of the upper class
Dude, even fashion reflects it
What do you think all these men dressing up and putting makeup on was?
i dont care about what rich urbanites were doing
I'm talking about everyday people
But my point is that it's a result of wealth
As society becomes wealthier, which it does, people express themselves more freely and openly, in all classes
It's inevitable, it's always been the case
that doesn't make it a good thing
That's not your point though, you're talking about "enforcing traditional values"
I'm telling you they weren't traditional to begin with
The elite never cared about this shit
again i dont care about what rich urbanites were doing
So if you ask for statist intervention in favor of traditionalism, you're looking in the wrong place
Because the state is run BY the elites
They'll always pander to their own desires
Degeneracy started at the top first
that wouldn't make it inevitable, presumable you would get rid of said elites first
if we're talking about the future that is
So you want to have an endless cycle of elites getting killed and replaced?
you're assuming that all of them agreed in those types of ideas
many of them didn't
No I'm not, it's just inevitable
it's inevitable that some people would have those views
so presumably you would remove them from positions of power before they could spread there views
No, that's stupid, because if you have the power to remove them, then they've never had enough power to begin with, YOU'd be the one enforcing it
i.e. a dictatorship
you wouldn't need a dictatorship
look at hungary
it's a starting point
sure it's no where near perfect
Why are people always pointing to one or two countries
Guns solve many problems when a dick becomes a dictator.
The overall trend is very clear, the people simply want politicians to make reasonable policies, and not screw them over. People have very simple desires, they just don't want to get buttfucked and the country going to hell.
Overall most countries are unclear on how progressive or conservative they want to be, it's a mixed bag, it's just happenstance.
In one country it's like this, in the next one slightly different, there's no clear trend anywhere.
the socially conservative Hungarian government spreads their values via state controlled media and education, it's an interesting starting point
it's something that should be emulated
Dude
It's one population
