Man I wonder where my empire is gone. We stopped a unified Europe but for some reason our empire has collapsed
it has, yes
and if you wouldn't have done that
because of cultural shift??
it would have too
the main difference being you wouldn't be leaving the EU rn
because that would be verbotten
And PM d'Israeli would be yeeted from history class too.
Instead of being the protectorate of a distant, but culturally similar, Empire
you would be the periphery of a German Empire
because a German Empire would not be turned towards the sea
like yours
and the mutt ones are
mind you this is in hindsight
no one could have reasonably expected Hitler's luck in France
even his deletion of Polan was much quicker then anticipated due in no small degree to the Soviets helping
Britain was laboring under the assumption Poland was going to be on Hitler's side until a few months before the war
I mean what I said
the Polish guarantee was issued very late
because Poland asked for it
What do you mean by Poland was going to be on Hitlers side
up until then the Brits were convinced that the Poles have made a deal with Germany
I'm not saying they were gonna be on his side
I'm saying the British thought so
remember that Polan annexed a smol bit of Czechoslovakia when Hitler took them over
this wasn;t a super clear situation
many decisions were made reactively to unfolding events
plus countries had internal politics to consider as well
did the wrong side win ww1 doom
especially France and Britain where the populations were very unwilling to go to war
there was no wrong side in WWI
the problem with WWI was that the winners didn;t finish it
so the losers thought they could try for another round
the problem with WW1 was the winners used it as an excuse to shit on the losers for 20 years making the losers justifiably very angry.
Versailles. Was. Being. Progressively. Lifted.
The Brits and Mutts were unhappy with it hurting Germany too much
so they pushed for easing the sanctions
