Maybe we don't deserve a future CNN

2019-08-25 22:37:47 UTC

I'd say we have a recognizable gun problem, but mostly just because it comes from a gun culture.

2019-08-25 22:38:05 UTC

The problem is mental health not gun culture

2019-08-25 22:38:12 UTC

Yup.

2019-08-25 22:38:43 UTC

That's why if you go back a few hundred years of American History when it was easier to get guns there were barely any mass shootings

2019-08-25 22:38:44 UTC

I'm just talking about the overall aggressiveness towards the issue. It's brought up so heavily because of the high culture around guns.

Dayton was antifa, and 2017 linked it from the streets. The Ohio shooter - extreme left wing.
Had a pic from 2017.

2019-08-25 22:39:34 UTC

It's not the gun, it's the agenda behind it.

2019-08-25 22:39:58 UTC

The only real negative of guns is that if someone sets out to kill people it might be easier for them to kill more people with a gun but even that could be resolved if more people were armed

2019-08-25 22:40:18 UTC

You mean 1776 was a high culture around guns?

2019-08-25 22:40:25 UTC

Well Trump finally did it! Worse than a certain WWII Leader~

2019-08-25 22:40:54 UTC

Here's an educational gun video...

CNN is fake news, with that hitler piece...

2019-08-25 22:41:50 UTC

Well after 1776 it was much easier to get guns because along with the second amendment we didn't have the kind of policing we have today nor did we have proper background checks or anything like that yet if you look at the mass shootings of the period you will see that there were barely any

2019-08-25 22:42:14 UTC

Guns have got harder to get over the time yet shootings have gone up

2019-08-25 22:42:42 UTC

That's why it makes sense that the increase in mass shootings is down to mental health and not guns themselves

I don't think mental health means an increase in gun violence, because that means it correlates with an increase of mental health issues, which might be hard to prove. Not to mention the caution one should show when declaring things to be a mental ill. Let's not forget the problems that arose by declaring "the gay" to be a mental illness.

*Mental health.*

2019-08-25 22:45:10 UTC

If guns and gun culture were the problem why weren't mass shootings a problem a few hundred years ago when it was easier to get guns?

2019-08-25 22:45:42 UTC

2016 pulse nightclub shooting...

2019-08-25 22:45:46 UTC

It wasn't exactly a culture then. It was simply the weapon of the times. There was no opposing society around guns purely because of domestic issues which prompted opponents to that.

2019-08-25 22:45:50 UTC

"They were taking people out of the nightclub."

2019-08-25 22:45:59 UTC

Literally towards the building.

Cargo, to khakis.

2019-08-25 22:46:43 UTC

Back then it was "swords are now guns," while nowadays it's "guns are the problem" vs "guns are our right"

2019-08-25 22:46:53 UTC

How exactly would that cause mass shootings though?

2019-08-25 22:47:16 UTC

People with guns aren't attacking people for disagreeing on gun rights in most cases

2019-08-25 22:47:45 UTC

It wouldn't. Society just becomes the greater issue there. Not all mass shootings are just from someone who is completely deranged. Some people are fervent in their beliefs, and declaring them to be mentally ill might make the problem worse, which is why you should show caution when declaring it to be a purely inhuman thing.

2019-08-25 22:48:16 UTC

Most of these "Mass shootings" are manufatured...

The more thing I can't believe from the (((El Paso))) shooting.
He shotup wal-mart of all places.

** *A PLACE WHERE CAMERA'S ARE ON 24/7 FUCKING HOURS OF THE DAY.* **

2019-08-25 22:48:41 UTC

Well yeah, people disagreeing with the gun rights don't have too many guns with which to go on a mass shooting :^)

2019-08-25 22:49:06 UTC

Well its not exactly inhuman of course some Mass Shootings are down to political differences instead of mental health but that still doesn't exactly make guns or gun culture a problem, It just makes Mental Health and Political Polarisation the problem

2019-08-25 22:49:52 UTC

Never said gun culture was a problem, just said it's why the mass shootings are so heavily discussed when someone posted that graphic about how much our gun problem isn't that much of a problem.

2019-08-25 22:50:06 UTC

But yet we go from this...
