Yeah, there were 612 laws in the Old Testament, and some of them carried the penalty of death.
I love how scientific progress caused the internet, which gives us the tools to debunk false religious claims
It gives you only what you put into it, it was made by man.
Have you already read the verses?
Lutheranism works alongside paganism and it is why the doctrine in schools is different and it is about humanity as opposed to flaggeration.
So you deny the entirety of the Old Testament, and claim it to be falsehood, and not province of God?
Why do you think a loving God would not defend his people with deadly force?
It is about the previous times .... the old testament. Read the New testament where it tells you they want mixture of things and no woman to wear a veil, unless they are married to god.
Why do you think a loving God would not explicitly condemn degeneracy?
"Don't kill people, unless I say it's good" is the writings of man from far before Christianity. This is a human law, not a holy one.
According to the Bible God considers all humans equal
Jesus did not come to abolish the Law, but to fulfill it.
I think, Jake has you by the short and curlies with his arguement
So when you say "his people", you're contradicting the teachings of the Bible
God has no people
Humanity is taught through lutheranism
You definitely haven't read the Bible if you don't think there's a certain I-word associated with "his chosen people."
If you do not understand that, it is your own problem .
I have talked to priests about this
ANyone who's watched Veggietales can tell you that Israel is God's Chosen People. It says that far more often than it refers to stoning.
I have grown up and lived in the bible belt. You speak as someone who doesn't really go to church very often, but likes to say they do.
That's a prerequirement for defending Christian authoritarianism
Seriously dude!
Either you ARE at the top, so you want it. Or you're the one who they want to rule.
YOu can't say that the Bible makes no claim to God having a chosen people when it's run through the entire Old Testament.
God has always favored some people over others for their actions.
There are verses clearly stating that God sees all people as equal
Either way, God's a dick, but so are other gods. He's just more deceptive. Odin is at least honest about his dickery, so I'm sticking with him.
No, there is one verse where Paul says that race and gender don't matter in the church. One.
Compared to the whole Old Testament where Israel is the chosen nation.
And also most of the New Testament.
They need to release the Old Old Testament
That would be the necronomicon, and has since been lost to time.
We must not know of the old gods.
Time waits for no one
The Jews' claim to supremacy is the entire point of Paul's teachings on race and ethnicity.
He had to teach the church that Jews were not inherently better people.
It's almost funny how easy it is to debunk false religious claims using this awesome thing called internet
