Lokie or Lucifer .... it is still bad @Lios

2019-09-01 09:54:24 UTC

So if something says something false about the text, and the text does not agree with them, how does that make the text false?

2019-09-01 09:54:33 UTC

Lucifer just wanted us to be happy ;-;

2019-09-01 09:54:33 UTC

It's one thing to legalize gay marriage, it's another to get all the churches to wed gays

2019-09-01 09:54:39 UTC

Saying that homosexuality is okay for Christian living is false.

2019-09-01 09:55:23 UTC

and if being angry, sad, gay and retarded etc, makes you happy

2019-09-01 09:55:25 UTC

so be it

2019-09-01 09:55:26 UTC

@ETBrooD you're either incredibly dumb or you do not read . I do not know which one it is

2019-09-01 09:55:54 UTC

That's not the Bible's fault that's people not wanting to obey it.

2019-09-01 09:55:57 UTC

The Christians believe in the entirety of the bible to be the word of god, to be followed as dogma. Well, some of them... hell, very few of them. Almost all of them pick and choose. Not very devout if you ask me. If any of them _were_ to use the entirety of the text, then the text itself opposes the text in numerous cases.

2019-09-01 09:56:57 UTC

Maybe because it's truth rather than dogma. Can you point to me where it contradicts, or can you show me some late-night comedian cherry-picking to avoid the unsavory parts like the death penalty?

```‘The Church of England Bishops’ position as Lords of Parliament
reflects the British history and culture of seeking to heal religious
conflict and promoting ever greater religious tolerance and
inclusiveness. The way in which the Church of England’s
representation in the House of Lords has been manifested over at least
the past 100 years has served to acknowledge the importance of
philosophical, moral and spiritual considerations – not just religious
ones – in the conduct of public affairs. And that representation has
been acknowledged by leaders of other Christian denominations and
faith communities as providing a voice in Parliament for religion in
general, not simply for the Church of England.’4```
The very origins themselves. Appointed to humans, thou shalt not kill. This is the first, and most important of the commandments.
_BUT ITS TOTALLY OKAY IF THEY'RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH, GO AHEAD, KILL THOSE GUYS_
2019-09-01 09:57:53 UTC
The Bible is a childrens book
2019-09-01 09:57:53 UTC
People needed this in order to evolve in the last 100 years
2019-09-01 09:58:13 UTC
_THROW ROCKS AT THEIR HEADS UNTIL THEY STOP MOVING_
2019-09-01 09:58:28 UTC
@Lios I'm gonna need chapter and verse on that chief.
2019-09-01 09:59:13 UTC
The bible is meant to be for children.
2019-09-01 09:59:57 UTC
"The first and greatest commandment" was "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind and all your strength, and you shall have no other gods before me."
2019-09-01 10:00:00 UTC
"Give me the child for the first seven years and I will give you the man"
2019-09-01 10:00:17 UTC
@juts kill nme but it is the Lutheran church that has made it okay for Gay marriage
2019-09-01 10:00:18 UTC
Not Catholcism
2019-09-01 10:00:23 UTC
sounds creepy
2019-09-01 10:00:25 UTC
Well, citation 1. The first commandment.
Citation 2: https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Stoning
2019-09-01 10:00:45 UTC
Stoning was a death sentence.
2019-09-01 10:00:45 UTC
Slow and painful.
2019-09-01 10:00:46 UTC
Catholism has always been about building an empire
2019-09-01 10:00:48 UTC
Yeah, there were 612 laws in the Old Testament, and some of them carried the penalty of death.
2019-09-01 10:01:10 UTC
I love how scientific progress caused the internet, which gives us the tools to debunk false religious claims
2019-09-01 10:01:34 UTC
It gives you only what you put into it, it was made by man.
2019-09-01 10:01:45 UTC
Have you already read the verses?
2019-09-01 10:01:45 UTC
Lutheranism works alongside paganism and it is why the doctrine in schools is different and it is about humanity as opposed to flaggeration.
2019-09-01 10:01:51 UTC
So you deny the entirety of the Old Testament, and claim it to be falsehood, and not province of God?
2019-09-01 10:02:07 UTC
Why do you think a loving God would not defend his people with deadly force?
2019-09-01 10:02:46 UTC
It is about the previous times .... the old testament. Read the New testament where it tells you they want mixture of things and no woman to wear a veil, unless they are married to god.
2019-09-01 10:02:46 UTC
Why do you think a loving God would not explicitly condemn degeneracy?
2019-09-01 10:03:02 UTC
"Don't kill people, unless I say it's good" is the writings of man from far before Christianity. This is a human law, not a holy one.
2019-09-01 10:03:19 UTC
According to the Bible God considers all humans equal
