Britlaw is written by like 5 people, which is why it can be retarded sometimes

2019-08-22 09:22:23 UTC

As evidenced by "context doesn't matter"

2019-08-22 09:22:35 UTC

A judge should never fucking say that

2019-08-22 09:22:37 UTC

That's because the communications act is retarded

2019-08-22 09:22:53 UTC

You are being retarded

2019-08-22 09:22:56 UTC

Blessed be Tony Blair

2019-08-22 09:23:03 UTC

I don't think it was the law I think it was the judge

2019-08-22 09:23:09 UTC

the problem is not that the judge decides what is and isn't context

2019-08-22 09:23:11 UTC

Also Blair is the devil

2019-08-22 09:23:16 UTC

that is normal and necessary

2019-08-22 09:23:20 UTC

*someone* has to decide that

2019-08-22 09:23:34 UTC

now i will have to beat my folks to send the applications too *sigh*

2019-08-22 09:23:38 UTC

You could argue that the law says context doesn't matter no N words allowed

2019-08-22 09:23:42 UTC

You’d think the UK would have some commission or board that would look into outdated laws

2019-08-22 09:23:42 UTC

Idk if it actually does though

2019-08-22 09:24:17 UTC

Maybe laws should expire after a certain amount of time

2019-08-22 09:24:23 UTC

its more retarded innit

2019-08-22 09:24:26 UTC

The communications act is so vague you could prosecute anyone for anything on the internet with it

2019-08-22 09:24:26 UTC

'causing offence'

2019-08-22 09:24:47 UTC

causing offence and nuisance is illegal in the uk - fact

2019-08-22 09:24:49 UTC

Careful jack are you threatening people on the internet

2019-08-22 09:25:07 UTC

There needs to be a bar and standards for laws so they don't come out as retarded as the coms act which I understand is old

2019-08-22 09:25:08 UTC

luckily theres still some stuff to do here

2019-08-22 09:25:28 UTC

causing offense and nuisance was the fav pastime of mine since there was literally nothing esle to do

2019-08-22 09:25:38 UTC

There's supposed to be a writing team who make the laws legalese

2019-08-22 09:25:47 UTC

But the coms act is just so bad

2019-08-22 09:26:04 UTC

The problem is not that someone does determine what is relevant context. The problem is that your judiciary is CLEARLY politically motivated in its verdicts, thus anything and everything that is against their political preference is illegal (or legal) depending on who you are. The problem isn't that the law is bad (even though it might be), the problem is that the law does not matter at this point.

2019-08-22 09:26:13 UTC

thats why the notion of keeping legalese in simple english is retarded

2019-08-22 09:26:28 UTC

But it does because they used that law to prosecute

2019-08-22 09:27:05 UTC

so ban guns because of shootings 😂

2019-08-22 09:27:10 UTC

- Jack 2019

2019-08-22 09:27:12 UTC

😛

2019-08-22 09:27:36 UTC

There desire to ban guns has nothing to do with if there are shootings tbh

2019-08-22 09:27:44 UTC

obv

2019-08-22 09:27:54 UTC

but its the shit ppl swallow

2019-08-22 09:27:59 UTC

they buy it some of em

2019-08-22 09:28:00 UTC

Though we are moving into a more dangerous and polarised age

2019-08-22 09:28:01 UTC

A law against wearing red clothes is dumb, but it's ez to avoid getting prosecuted for it. A legal system that says you were wearing red clothes, even though you weren't, because you are politically annoying to the establishment is *impossible* to avoid.

2019-08-22 09:28:02 UTC

you know the voters

2019-08-22 09:28:25 UTC

And there is going to be a steeper increase in attacks then the dozen or so shitty failed ones we've seen in like the last 2ish months

2019-08-22 09:28:48 UTC

i mean...
