Britlaw is written by like 5 people, which is why it can be retarded sometimes
As evidenced by "context doesn't matter"
A judge should never fucking say that
That's because the communications act is retarded
You are being retarded
Blessed be Tony Blair
I don't think it was the law I think it was the judge
the problem is not that the judge decides what is and isn't context
Also Blair is the devil
that is normal and necessary
*someone* has to decide that
now i will have to beat my folks to send the applications too *sigh*
You could argue that the law says context doesn't matter no N words allowed
You’d think the UK would have some commission or board that would look into outdated laws
Idk if it actually does though
Maybe laws should expire after a certain amount of time
its more retarded innit
The communications act is so vague you could prosecute anyone for anything on the internet with it
'causing offence'
causing offence and nuisance is illegal in the uk - fact
There needs to be a bar and standards for laws so they don't come out as retarded as the coms act which I understand is old
luckily theres still some stuff to do here
causing offense and nuisance was the fav pastime of mine since there was literally nothing esle to do
There's supposed to be a writing team who make the laws legalese
But the coms act is just so bad
The problem is not that someone does determine what is relevant context. The problem is that your judiciary is CLEARLY politically motivated in its verdicts, thus anything and everything that is against their political preference is illegal (or legal) depending on who you are. The problem isn't that the law is bad (even though it might be), the problem is that the law does not matter at this point.
thats why the notion of keeping legalese in simple english is retarded
But it does because they used that law to prosecute
so ban guns because of shootings 😂
- Jack 2019
😛
There desire to ban guns has nothing to do with if there are shootings tbh
obv
but its the shit ppl swallow
they buy it some of em
Though we are moving into a more dangerous and polarised age
A law against wearing red clothes is dumb, but it's ez to avoid getting prosecuted for it. A legal system that says you were wearing red clothes, even though you weren't, because you are politically annoying to the establishment is *impossible* to avoid.
you know the voters
And there is going to be a steeper increase in attacks then the dozen or so shitty failed ones we've seen in like the last 2ish months
i mean...
