So the dm made the main campaign the background for goblin slayer's party's campaign
its testing footage
Because the dm also thought it might be itneresting to follow a party who are the unsung heroes of a story
Not the ones who save the world, but the ones who fight to protect the towns from the little monsters the heroes leave behind.

I had a specific theory

goblin slayer was that fighter who got killed in the goblin cave
he got pissed off
and rolled up goblin slayer
because he wanted to kill all goblins

My theory is that the goblin slayer was the character one of the players came up with for the main game
And the other players liked the idea
So the dm half-arsed a cave to send priestess into just to test the waters a bit
And when he realized the idea had some potential he began to put more effort into goblin-focused dungeons to send the party into
