Makarov is an extremely simplified, refined, reduced and more robust version of Walther pistol
i looked up ppk and the end of the barrel on yours and the angle got me
Makarov was a very smart guy.
He was not content on just licensing a gun from Walther. Oh no.
He developed easy and fast manufacturing solutions for the pistol, so the lacking soviet industry could mass-produce them with no problems
PPK is more like a distant cousin that looks similar
This was the gun Makarov obtained a licensing for
Walther tried to get MP-PP adopted by european militaries, but it lost in the trials
So he just sold the rights to Makarov
