The leader of the dictatorship should be the greatest in the military

2019-09-02 14:39:06 UTC

The highest rank

2019-09-02 14:39:14 UTC

Can’t build a movement if I don’t live in the country, so

2019-09-02 14:39:23 UTC

It’s just complaining to some degree, true.

2019-09-02 14:39:24 UTC

so why do you even care?

2019-09-02 14:39:26 UTC

never in history one single entity was able to be efficient, self-reflective enough or unbiased

2019-09-02 14:39:27 UTC

what country you in @Gespa

2019-09-02 14:39:31 UTC

are you even a britbong?

2019-09-02 14:39:43 UTC

Be it monarchs, popes or communist party

2019-09-02 14:40:26 UTC

I mean, absolute monarchies of Europe used to be quite a bit more efficient then the feudal, more decentralized systems of before...

2019-09-02 14:40:33 UTC

You need several parties in competition for a healthy political scale balancing.
The only way it seems to really work in practice.

2019-09-02 14:40:40 UTC

US, and no.
But the politics of the UK influences the US as much as it does vice versa. The political shifts of the entire west are relevant to the entire west going forward. If you think otherwise, you’re retarded.

2019-09-02 14:40:44 UTC

but again: I don advocate for a monarch for the virtue of efficiency

2019-09-02 14:41:23 UTC

Only some kind of consensus seeking provides a self-balancing, responsible, accountable and fair-ish process

2019-09-02 14:41:30 UTC

The king's job is not to be the most competent

2019-09-02 14:41:44 UTC

his job is to hire the most competent ppl and make sure they don steal shit

2019-09-02 14:41:47 UTC

>Imagine wanting a monarchy when you could just have a one party democracy

@Tonight at 11 - DOOM "Brutus et tu"

2019-09-02 14:42:26 UTC

Hungary is just an example of what little protection against absolutism the republican system really provides

2019-09-02 14:42:45 UTC

the opposition collapsed

2019-09-02 14:42:51 UTC

so Orban can do whatever

2019-09-02 14:42:58 UTC

100% democratically

2019-09-02 14:43:18 UTC

The problem is that the opposition is the EU.

2019-09-02 14:43:24 UTC

it's nice and all that he's somewhat nationalistic but it could be better in hungary

2019-09-02 14:43:33 UTC

@Uksio ye, don't assasinate the
King, lol

2019-09-02 14:43:37 UTC

if you allow for this

2019-09-02 14:43:42 UTC

you get into a shitshow

2019-09-02 14:44:01 UTC

@Tonight at 11 - DOOM that was the fault of a nepotistic king to begin with

2019-09-02 14:44:07 UTC

Republicanism and Liberalism have little protections against authoritarian rule by their design. To maximize freedom of choice you have to be open to intervention. It relies on the people being morally and mentally headstrong and refusing authoritarianism where it lies.
In Hungary’s case, it failed.

2019-09-02 14:44:10 UTC

that's the moral of the story

2019-09-02 14:44:22 UTC

the king SHOULD be nepotistic

2019-09-02 14:44:27 UTC

(at least to a degree)

2019-09-02 14:44:35 UTC

das the entire point of ther ebeing a king

2019-09-02 14:44:35 UTC

Then he gets stabbed

2019-09-02 14:44:45 UTC

bs

2019-09-02 14:44:52 UTC

delete the stabbers

2019-09-02 14:44:54 UTC

lol

2019-09-02 14:44:59 UTC

they are literally traitors

2019-09-02 14:45:07 UTC

Nepotism is the very functional opposite of a meritocracy

2019-09-02 14:45:17 UTC

It is crippling and stagnating
