they are not there to be efficient
You'd have people being decided by hereditary instead of talent
The leader of the dictatorship should be the greatest in the military
The highest rank
Can’t build a movement if I don’t live in the country, so
It’s just complaining to some degree, true.
so why do you even care?
never in history one single entity was able to be efficient, self-reflective enough or unbiased
are you even a britbong?
Be it monarchs, popes or communist party
I mean, absolute monarchies of Europe used to be quite a bit more efficient then the feudal, more decentralized systems of before...
You need several parties in competition for a healthy political scale balancing.
The only way it seems to really work in practice.
US, and no.
But the politics of the UK influences the US as much as it does vice versa. The political shifts of the entire west are relevant to the entire west going forward. If you think otherwise, you’re retarded.
but again: I don advocate for a monarch for the virtue of efficiency
Only some kind of consensus seeking provides a self-balancing, responsible, accountable and fair-ish process
The king's job is not to be the most competent
his job is to hire the most competent ppl and make sure they don steal shit
>Imagine wanting a monarchy when you could just have a one party democracy
*Brought to you by Hungary gang*
@Tonight at 11 - DOOM "Brutus et tu"
Hungary is just an example of what little protection against absolutism the republican system really provides
the opposition collapsed
so Orban can do whatever
100% democratically
The problem is that the opposition is the EU.
it's nice and all that he's somewhat nationalistic but it could be better in hungary
@Uksio ye, don't assasinate the
King, lol
if you allow for this
you get into a shitshow
@Tonight at 11 - DOOM that was the fault of a nepotistic king to begin with
Republicanism and Liberalism have little protections against authoritarian rule by their design. To maximize freedom of choice you have to be open to intervention. It relies on the people being morally and mentally headstrong and refusing authoritarianism where it lies.
In Hungary’s case, it failed.
that's the moral of the story
the king SHOULD be nepotistic
(at least to a degree)
das the entire point of ther ebeing a king
Then he gets stabbed
bs
delete the stabbers
lol
they are literally traitors
Nepotism is the very functional opposite of a meritocracy
