I also have the first aoe
Just hoping the working classes on the leave side can be savvy enough to keep their powder dry while the millenials are all losing their shit
Hun war? Crusade
Arabia? Crusade
Water Map? Crusade
Never is Crusade not the answer to winning
Quite funny I have disc copies of all the aoe games but no disc drive on my pc
Same actually
I had aoe 2
I currently use Voobly
Furthermore, I have no jurisdiction over @Muten, you are your own pony
I'm on T90's server actually.
It's funny, somehow AoE2 has had like a 20-year-later Renaissance
I found I liked just building a huge fort/city than going out and getting the other guys
You know my gf now says colonise me my white daddy when I'm fucking her 💦
the soft crusade

@Telly_G 『⚡130』PC | also yeah thats how most new players tend to play
thats all I ever wanted to do though
i wish the game rewarded points for a pretty base
its why Im a huge minecraft mark
i'm sorry - this is killing braincells, i have to go to work
Are you a wrestling fan?
Well anyone really
@Sylva Old games seem to have resurgence in general lately, be it sequels or reboots. Doom, Spellforce, AoW, Knights of Honor, Baldur's Gate...
I expect BG3 to be crap from the nature of things, but it's made by Larian so maybe we'll get a nice surprise
Yeah but even then AoE2 is an anomaly
it's the original game, from like 1999, but the competitive scene is larger than ever, the level of gameplay has never been higher, and streams of the game reach thousands of viewers.
It's so strange and cool
The company that owns it (Microsoft I think?) has even realized that the game is undergoing a renaissance and will be launching dedicated servers for it in October
Yeah it's because they released a HD version
Its a 20 year old game
Raking in more money than ever.
It's unheard of
So it generated more bucks
No one is playing the original disc copy
guys
bros
dudes
n words
what if
*hits DMT*
phones r bad?
damn bro
Im not sure how many of the original disc copies are even playable now, lol.
But the actual gameplay has changed little beyond the addition of new material
I inherited aoe 1 and 2 from my grandfather and won aoe 3 as a result of a school competition
And then my friend bought me a copy of aoe 3 on steam
So they've never made a dime off me
Well, there are almost no RTS these days that aren't crap (hoping KoH2 will change that up) so no wonder people are going back decades to play the good ones
^
Though of course, KoH is a grand strategy, AoE is a skirm, and those are basically dead <:GWmythiFeelsBadMan:391321619748093972>
RTSs are dead
