It literally screams "democracy is the only way"

2019-11-29 08:55:19 UTC

As both sides abandon it

2019-11-29 08:56:37 UTC

And yet no mass shootings. Blue Story on the other hand?

2019-11-29 08:57:13 UTC

it's certainly a message that need to be out there, given how the world currently is when it comes to people trying to dominate those beneath them, or people trying to oppose democracy because they don't like the outcome

2019-11-29 08:57:14 UTC

Admittedly no hootings, but violent outbursts from the target demographic.

2019-11-29 08:58:05 UTC

Frozen 2, story about not being afraid of brown people... brown people start chopping people up with machetes in the theartre

2019-11-29 08:58:25 UTC

Wait what? Have I missed something?

2019-11-29 08:58:28 UTC

Is that how it goes? I've not looked into what the plot is for Frozen 2

2019-11-29 08:59:50 UTC

Didn't know they got into the theatre, figured it was just a brawl outside with some officers injured during the altercation

2019-11-29 08:59:53 UTC

Wow they certainly buried that quickly!

2019-11-29 09:00:42 UTC

isnt domocracy just a fancy word for a voting system for mod rule

2019-11-29 09:01:04 UTC

Democracy is a tool

2019-11-29 09:01:15 UTC

The main system must be more complex

2019-11-29 09:01:21 UTC

Hence a republic

2019-11-29 09:01:24 UTC

And so on

2019-11-29 09:02:09 UTC

But tiered up

2019-11-29 09:02:11 UTC

no two democracies will function exactly the same, groups have their own ways of using the tool of democracy, which gives it as many flaws as perks

2019-11-29 09:02:50 UTC

System that accounts for both> mob rule> minority rule

2019-11-29 09:03:14 UTC

Mob rule is still an improvement to rule by a minority

2019-11-29 09:04:07 UTC

given what happens in cases where a minority can dictate things, it doesn't often end well. Not helped that decision making can be tainted by wanting to 'get back' at the majority for perceived wrongdoing

2019-11-29 09:05:07 UTC

also why it's weird to me that the media treats going for popular positions like it's a bad thing, like how dare they go with what the majority of people want?

2019-11-29 09:05:28 UTC

uk system seems more reasonable 4 me

2019-11-29 09:06:24 UTC

I have a single rule that disqualifies systems from ever becoming good, if your system is predicated on removing the existance of a group of people it will never succeed, because when that group is removed it loses its focus and objective and often times will relable people to recreate the target

2019-11-29 09:07:39 UTC

not that it's without it's problems, like really labour and conservatives are the only parties that are ever going to be really considered for leadership, the smaller parties just have to hope for an alliance, it's only a bit more equal when it comes to individual positions.

2019-11-29 09:08:33 UTC

even going further than that, being focused on a single task leads to the question of once this is complete... What then?

2019-11-29 09:09:10 UTC

like with some activist groups having to create a new enemy, or simply keep pushing long after it's needed to retain their own relevance

2019-11-29 09:09:25 UTC

While the US democrats should technically be 2 parties but they both know as 2 parties they will never have the voting power so they play this backstab dance to see who gets to control each others vote

2019-11-29 09:09:57 UTC

The Republicans should be two parties as well.

2019-11-29 09:10:22 UTC

given the fracturing of these parties into smaller groups, I'm surprised this hasn't at least been discussed

2019-11-29 09:10:29 UTC

The republicans should have yes for a moment

2019-11-29 09:10:50 UTC

But as of right now they are working much more harmoniously than the dems

2019-11-29 09:11:06 UTC

Because they know they can secure 4 more years

2019-11-29 09:11:20 UTC

having more party options couldn't hurt either, or I should say viable options, given some people's view that you're basically giving up your vote by not going democrat/republican

2019-11-29 09:11:44 UTC

Yeah, they'd need some monumental screw up to lose another 4 years

2019-11-29 09:12:16 UTC

either that or an army of the undead to vote against them

2019-11-29 09:13:30 UTC

The problem is creating those viable party options.

2019-11-29 09:14:09 UTC

I wonder if Congress could just forcibly split both parties up. Like a trust bust, except for the two political parties.

2019-11-29 09:14:45 UTC

@Lidomite They have no interest in that, they will always protect their own power

2019-11-29 09:15:07 UTC

the problem really is with how deep corruption is with politics, there's little to stop the same problem coming back, just with more small parties with no chance

2019-11-29 09:15:32 UTC

Where these powerful people get into one of these split parties and turn it into what we already have again
