I liked how the entire movie shows this with the joker being a known bad element
outside the wall gang
Its pretty fucking on point saying communism is bad
Yeah, it could've taken the easy way out of 'rich white man bad' but avoided it in favour of just showing it's individual people that happen to be dicks
I think its more complex
It shows 2 sides that are bad
Communist sentiment of the poor vs the rich, and the issues of corruption that leads to the stagnation of democracy
The people's voice went unheard so they went to communism
It has a lot more depth than it has any right to as another 'villain origin story' movie, but it's all the better for it
It literally screams "democracy is the only way"
As both sides abandon it
And yet no mass shootings. Blue Story on the other hand?
it's certainly a message that need to be out there, given how the world currently is when it comes to people trying to dominate those beneath them, or people trying to oppose democracy because they don't like the outcome
Admittedly no hootings, but violent outbursts from the target demographic.
Frozen 2, story about not being afraid of brown people... brown people start chopping people up with machetes in the theartre
Wait what? Have I missed something?
Is that how it goes? I've not looked into what the plot is for Frozen 2
Didn't know they got into the theatre, figured it was just a brawl outside with some officers injured during the altercation
Wow they certainly buried that quickly!
Democracy is a tool
The main system must be more complex
Hence a republic
And so on
But tiered up
no two democracies will function exactly the same, groups have their own ways of using the tool of democracy, which gives it as many flaws as perks
System that accounts for both> mob rule> minority rule
Mob rule is still an improvement to rule by a minority
given what happens in cases where a minority can dictate things, it doesn't often end well. Not helped that decision making can be tainted by wanting to 'get back' at the majority for perceived wrongdoing
also why it's weird to me that the media treats going for popular positions like it's a bad thing, like how dare they go with what the majority of people want?
uk system seems more reasonable 4 me
I have a single rule that disqualifies systems from ever becoming good, if your system is predicated on removing the existance of a group of people it will never succeed, because when that group is removed it loses its focus and objective and often times will relable people to recreate the target
not that it's without it's problems, like really labour and conservatives are the only parties that are ever going to be really considered for leadership, the smaller parties just have to hope for an alliance, it's only a bit more equal when it comes to individual positions.
even going further than that, being focused on a single task leads to the question of once this is complete... What then?
like with some activist groups having to create a new enemy, or simply keep pushing long after it's needed to retain their own relevance
While the US democrats should technically be 2 parties but they both know as 2 parties they will never have the voting power so they play this backstab dance to see who gets to control each others vote
The Republicans should be two parties as well.
given the fracturing of these parties into smaller groups, I'm surprised this hasn't at least been discussed
The republicans should have yes for a moment
But as of right now they are working much more harmoniously than the dems
