Yeah, that seemed to have a decent effect when Sargon was doing that in the south, to the point Labour tried copying it

2019-11-29 09:21:06 UTC

then he'd better start hoping Corbyn is genuine on wanting brexit, not that there's much worry of a labour majority the way things are going

2019-11-29 09:21:07 UTC

@Lidomite The best political debate would be just two politicians sitting in a room alone together for like 5 hours and streaming their debate.

2019-11-29 09:21:27 UTC

I do know quite a few tribal labour voters though, surprising what they'll let slide because they 'always voted labour'

2019-11-29 09:21:48 UTC

@Flake452 I have a feeling if like Harris and Rogan moderated a debate with Tulsi and Yang and had an open invitation to the other Dem candidates, it'll be a blockbuster.

2019-11-29 09:22:03 UTC

@Flake452 Yeah. You're right. They should do that.

2019-11-29 09:22:14 UTC

I remember the uproar they had when Tommy was visiting my area

2019-11-29 09:22:21 UTC

Just fucking do something other than swimming in the mainstream that hates you and wants to sabotage you

2019-11-29 09:22:52 UTC

Corbyn represents the worst of old labours economic policies but with New Labours multiculturalism and hatred of the working class. Old labours policies were a failure but their heart was in the right place.

2019-11-29 09:23:05 UTC

That's one thing I hope to see generally in the future, having a greater emphasis on independent media for this sort of thing, as well as entertainment in general

2019-11-29 09:23:41 UTC

Trump could do it in the next election, its basically what he does with his twitter now.

2019-11-29 09:24:09 UTC

I agree, I would never suggest labour has always been a bad party, just over the past decade or two it's just gone completely off the deep end, instead of just trying to help those in need it's turned into us vs them

2019-11-29 09:24:51 UTC

not that corbyn's leadership is helping anything, between him thinking we have infinite money to his own party running rings around him, hardly inspires confidence

2019-11-29 09:25:10 UTC

I'm surprised there's not more politicians following Trump's example in that regard

2019-11-29 09:25:26 UTC

His Andrew Neil interview was shocking, he didn't understand the government creating bonds added to national debt.

2019-11-29 09:25:44 UTC

It's been a massive success for Trump and made him more personable to people I think

2019-11-29 09:25:52 UTC

I always thought of Corbyn as a Zealot but he just came across as dumb on that interview.

2019-11-29 09:26:30 UTC

intentional or otherwise, the jabs he takes at people and the occasional meme makes him feel more like an everyman, despite the fact he's obviously a much higher class than most, financially

2019-11-29 09:27:04 UTC

corbyn seems to have a big issue with interviews where he gets pressured. The one that always comes to mind is how he couldn't give a straight answer on MAD

2019-11-29 09:27:40 UTC

that combined with the people he calls friends makes it look like if he ever did become prime minister, our security would be a disaster

2019-11-29 09:27:48 UTC

Trump is going into 2020 still having his "outsider" cred even though he's the incumbent. That's amazing.

2019-11-29 09:28:00 UTC

Yeah he was once flying over Atlantic city with some Russian models, someone stated only white Trash go there, the model asked what white trash was and Trump said "Like me but poor"

2019-11-29 09:29:25 UTC

when it comes down to it, I think people are just more interested in what Trump does and less what he says, while it's entertaining it's not important until it interferes with what he's trying to accomplish

2019-11-29 09:30:46 UTC

Most of the outrage is from what he said when his policies are not much different than other presidents. People keep thinking that if they just get their ideal candidate the whole system will change but the system is way too powerful.

2019-11-29 09:32:56 UTC

Regardless of whether people support or hate Trump, I hope one of the bigger takeaways of his presidencies is to pick your president with confidence they'll do what they say they'll do, or at least make the effort to do as much as possible. For their own dignity if nothing else. If I remember right Trump is the president that has achieved the most of his campaign promises?

2019-11-29 09:33:21 UTC

rather than taking the tribal route, going for the one less likely to lie to your face about what their goals are

2019-11-29 09:34:07 UTC

one thing I wish we had more of in the UK, given the amount of politicians that claimed to be leavers only to be remain once elected

2019-11-29 09:34:15 UTC

I don't know if he has achieved most of his campaign promises, I know Trudeau has achieved more campaign promises than other Canadian PMs

2019-11-29 09:35:04 UTC

Admittedly I only remember hearing this years ago, so I don't know how accurate that ended up being for Trump, at the very least he seems more active in actually doing things, or it comes across that way compared to his recent predecessors

2019-11-29 09:35:18 UTC

I mean, when most of your promises involve spending money, sure, Trudeau's got it in the bag.

2019-11-29 09:36:30 UTC

still amazes me that ultra woke canada voted for him after all the blackface scandals, just shows the power of the tribe I suppose

2019-11-29 09:36:53 UTC

Yeah most of their outrage with racism is just a tactic to take down their opponents

2019-11-29 09:36:53 UTC

It shows how bullshit the left's outrage is over stuff like blackface.

2019-11-29 09:36:56 UTC

It's all fake.

2019-11-29 09:37:34 UTC

I do have to agree there, given how often people that complain about how morally bad something is, only to engage in it themselves

2019-11-29 09:37:49 UTC

Andrew Cuomo said nigger on the radio, and do you see people asking for his head on a pike?

2019-11-29 09:38:17 UTC

At least he didn't say Fedo

2019-11-29 09:38:20 UTC

Fredo

2019-11-29 09:38:42 UTC

I can't wait till we reach a point in time where we're past the victimhood thing and can all poke fun at each other again

2019-11-29 09:39:10 UTC

you still can, you just have to stand by it

2019-11-29 09:39:35 UTC

What I wonder is if the backlash will be we go towards more freedom or right wing Authoritarianism
