I know. I am trying to stop altogether. When I get in USAF, it will happen.

2018-09-14 17:14:45 UTC

i'm not an everyday gamer myself but i do play casually when i have time

2018-09-14 17:14:56 UTC

ya same

2018-09-14 17:15:09 UTC

I play for about 2 hours a night and alot more on weekends..... sad life. Lolz

2018-09-14 17:15:15 UTC

night time on weekends

2018-09-14 17:15:18 UTC

@Deleted User not sad at all

2018-09-14 17:15:37 UTC

I don't hang out with anyone in my area.

2018-09-14 17:16:58 UTC

Not saying that I do that on purpose. Just don't know of any like minded individuals in my area.

2018-09-14 17:17:23 UTC

All of my friends are either working, have families, or super far.

2018-09-14 17:17:31 UTC

Not a big deal really.

2018-09-14 17:18:40 UTC

not at all - you'll make plenty of friends where you're headed

@Orlando Absolutely. It's like through video games, I'm buying time. CT is boring and full of Godless liberals.

2018-09-14 17:22:44 UTC

@Deleted User haha, so is Maryland, most of my friends before the Army just arent interesting enough to hang out with - I dont like tv or movies like I used to - I'm usually listening to music or playing video games when inside

2018-09-14 17:23:55 UTC

I'm the same way, @Orlando

2018-09-14 17:24:14 UTC

ya me and my friends mainly party up on xbox live to shoot the S.

2018-09-14 17:24:28 UTC

It makes it feel like you are isolated.

2018-09-14 17:26:34 UTC

when I was in grad school, I felt isolated 24/7 - now that it's over - i appreciate the time i have to do nothing or play on xbox

2018-09-14 17:32:41 UTC

I only have pubG on the pc

2018-09-14 17:40:38 UTC

for the pc guys, how come no h1z1, its free and pubgish

2018-09-14 17:45:24 UTC

@Orlando Sorry I had a meeting. Yeah it sucks but you had to put your nose to the grind to get that Masters degree! 💪

2018-09-14 17:46:27 UTC

@Deleted User no problemo, yes indeed

2018-09-14 17:48:14 UTC

So do video games promote isolationism?

2018-09-14 17:49:28 UTC

i would say yes - i imagine it's on the individual to be conscious enough to know what is too much and when it's time to get outside, exercise, do meaningful things, etc.

2018-09-14 17:50:24 UTC

I would agree to that, @Orlando.

2018-09-14 17:51:35 UTC

I would also add that video games also changes social behavior. However, I would also ask: is that any different from people who surf the internet daily?

2018-09-14 17:54:21 UTC

for sure it can change social behavior - being from the Nintendo generation, I was raised around video games - but I did have parents that made sure I did other things - which carried into adulthood - and it's not much different than surfing internet daily - however, for folks like myself, I spend a great deal of time on the internet reading albeit news, history, etc. so if anything I'm well-informed

2018-09-14 17:55:12 UTC

I'm a gamer myself or rather, a past generation gamer. For the ps2-3 & gamecube. I still love the videogames I grew up with but like anything that is being taken too much can become unhealthy

2018-09-14 17:55:28 UTC

So many great videogames with amazing moral lessons to this day, have influenced the person I have become

2018-09-14 17:56:10 UTC

same with someone watching tv or movies ALL the time

2018-09-14 17:56:17 UTC

these are just hobbies

2018-09-14 17:57:37 UTC

certainly too much can become unheatlhy - even politics - because i studied political communication in grad school in D.C. of all place, and during the presidential elections - i never got away from it - it got to a point where it was too much and the thought of politics made me somewhat anxious and depressed

2018-09-14 17:58:51 UTC

Oh wow. Yeah I can imagine

2018-09-14 17:59:48 UTC

There was a time, all through my young years, videogames, books and writing were all I had

2018-09-14 18:00:01 UTC

exactly - and music

2018-09-14 18:00:08 UTC

i never get tired of music

2018-09-14 18:00:20 UTC

Even though people on the outside thought it was unhealthy, it was meant to be for me at that time. And I took so much out of the influential games & books

2018-09-14 18:00:26 UTC

It never leaves you

2018-09-14 18:00:31 UTC

Hahah yup
