Religion is a great map, but careful cause there are snakes in the grass who will use the scriptures.
also, I am not a doctor so take my "spiritual ideas" with a grain of salt
Even Jesse says we should doubt him too.
(if i recall correctly)
reminds me of what Jesse said, the people who are Christian, cite the scriptures but their life hasn’t changed & it’s the same old situations. But feeling as though them having a church, knowing the Bible through and through makes them feel as though they have a safety net
Yup he does
Jesse says "all in the name of Jesus"
I listen to Jesse cause he's a better copy of Christ than I am.
Aww lol
I like that he says that bc
Most ppl find a guru and follow them completely
While they may be a good influence, it takes away the persons own growth in a sense
You have to see it for yourself first, and then look to others like your thoughts and ideas are similar to theirs, so you admire them
many times, we don't know how to grow so we could just as soon grow bad as grow good
So that’s where I’m at with Jesse. It just feels that there is so much I agree with him on, and go from there
Just the lesson that "all thoughts are a lie" is enough to go the right way
🙏🏻
It works too
Other day I was thinking about an incident, and I saw my thoughts started getting paranoia. I started thinking on what the other person was thinking and such, and my thoughts were drawing on a conclusion. And I knew it was affecting me bc I was getting an anxious feeling in my chest. So I just thought “it’s a lie.” And everything stopped
So to make sure I understand, @J_G_ Are you a Christian?
Christ teaches the truth and I agree. He died for my sins because sin is death. the wages of sin is death, and by forgiveness we are cleansed of our sins. when we accept the father within then we are drawn unto him and then we live forever. I don't take religious talk on face value especially christian because it is not always literal, it is in parable form, or metaphor if you will. that extra effort of interpretation moves us closer to God.
if we accept parable on face value, then we miss the point of the parable.
So you are a Christian?
I feel that it is a title, and I don't like to give myself titles
I'm pulling a JLP moment here. Lolz
it feels lazy to give myself a title
sure go ahead
I'm culturally a christian but I feel that 90% of christians make the good 10% look bad
not really but something like that
That happens
Happens in many religions though
To be frank, I don't understand the titles to religions.
Look toward god, cast everything else out
I don't understand the importance of giving names to religions
to me that is idolatry
I can see your point there
God told me to ignore all religions and go directly to him. But I follow Jesus
I follow Jesus as closely as possible
Jesse does say that to
