Sadly I saw this coming

I live in Texas and one of my friends, who was a high ranking judge, and was a Republican, got ousted

Unfortunately a wave of democrat judges came in and somehow took over

Like unfortunately a ton of judges rammed their way in to power and now it's a ticking time bomb

Basically their thing was "hurr durr we are progressive and those are old white men" and they fucking won

And I was like holy shit

I actually vote in my local elections and voted for this Republican judge guy

They ran a bunch of fake stories against him about how he was corrupt and taking money, and despite it being disproven, they managed to lower his points enough and up the points of these crazy ladies, via national coverage you can't compete with, to win

Like that one pissed me off

He's making like 400k a year now though as a lawyer somewhere else but still

like it sucks

He was a DA for like 20 years

This is problably going to get worse before it gets better too sadly

But there is a higher court hopefully that will not do this

I'm also worried about gun rights, like people being arrested for self defense cases

They won't be there for long
