@Nathan James 123 to be sure, to be sure. Looks it. Like observing roadkill

2019-10-19 14:14:55 UTC

Oh yeah!

2019-10-19 20:41:12 UTC

Will the EU let Catalan be free though

2019-10-19 20:42:08 UTC

Or will it demand they join it

2019-10-19 20:42:18 UTC

If they let them leave in the first place

2019-10-19 21:18:31 UTC

Spain would block any catalan accesion to the EU if such an event came to pass

Even though they are not in the EU,what does everything think happend in the Swiss election tomorrow?

2019-10-19 22:51:38 UTC

@Nightranger732 Same old. Their populist party has been the biggest since 2003

2019-10-19 22:51:50 UTC

The rest of Europe is 20 years behind

2019-10-19 22:54:16 UTC

@Aleeacerix the Gaul(Velissarios) But do you think that the Greens will disrupt the main 4 parties in power?

2019-10-19 22:54:50 UTC

Or in other terms cause a massive shuffle in the swiss presidency?

2019-10-19 22:55:16 UTC

They don't have enough seats to change the presidency

2019-10-19 22:58:08 UTC

Besides the"president" in Switzerland has limited powers

2019-10-19 22:59:30 UTC

The council along with him decide on issue together

2019-10-19 23:04:25 UTC

So what would occur if the GPS got more seats than the CVP;since that is the party they are tied with in most polls, would that cause any problem in the National Council or Federal Council?

2019-10-19 23:04:53 UTC

I always take polls with a grain of salt, but it makes you think of what would happen

2019-10-19 23:12:25 UTC

Not much actually since the SVP, the Liberals and the Christian party will have enough seats to pass legislation

2019-10-19 23:14:04 UTC

Compared with other countries, becoming president in Switzerland is relatively easy. In a nutshell, get elected to cabinet by parliament and wait your turn. This will come when all the cabinet ministers who were elected before you have served as president during your time in the cabinet, i.e. a maximum of six years.

2019-10-19 23:14:39 UTC

That is true and if anything the CVP voters would vote for the FDP or SVP and increase their seat percentage

2019-10-19 23:17:07 UTC

I always found how they divide the cabinet up very intriguing and fun to learn about

2019-10-20 19:36:38 UTC

That was 9 years ago

2019-10-21 02:27:13 UTC

The main 4 only lost 23 seats and still have the majority,so it was not too bad

2019-10-21 02:52:25 UTC

Good thing about Switzerland is that any inititive will need to be bottom up.

2019-10-21 04:11:17 UTC

Yet survey data show neither economic concerns nor immigration, which dominated the 2015 election, are at the forefront of voters’ minds today.

2019-10-21 04:12:37 UTC

Still relevant though

2019-10-21 04:54:35 UTC

I thought Switzerland was already green when it came to energy and the enviroment,so I why would it be that big of an issue still?

2019-10-21 04:58:12 UTC

Because muhhhh climate change

2019-10-21 04:58:20 UTC

The left can't have enough

2019-10-21 04:58:29 UTC

They want more action
