I agree there and we should stand for our people's interest but when you say aggressively it sounds like you mean something like using the millitary and I don't think that is necessary
We certainly should be looking to use the miltary
I completely disagree haha
That's one of the best tools we have
We have a high tech military, our economy benefits from war since we have a large arms export industry as well
can you provide an example ?
On? @Crafty
So what invade France?
aggressive influence with our military
Hard and soft power.
No lmao @sirwoods
I'm not sure what you mean by use the military then
Gunboat diplomacy?
Maybe we look for some African countries which are in a civil war. We end that. We gain the support of that government and benefits
To an extent as well @sirwoods
So empire? Start an empire to be more powerful and be stronger?
While negotiating trade deals having a carrier strike force floating near wouldn't be a bad thing
so like world police style?
We can use both hard and soft power to kick start that
We need to agressively be pushing debt diplomacy abroad as well
Then die under the thumb of China. @sirwoods
can you imagine the international outrage if the uk started invading african nations to sort their shit out
Who is doing exactly what I've said.
we cant even sort our own shit out
I don't see why if anything that will be an economic burden
*Intervening* to bring a bloody, brutal civil war to an end? @Crafty
Pushing regional stability and growth.
If china gets worse you will just get cold war 2 and then we back the US
Allowing the peoples in that country to recover, grow and develop.
sounds noble on the face of it, pretty sure it's more complicated than that
We're already in cold war 2.0 @sirwoods
That's the justification we use, that's what others use @Crafty
And to an extent it will be true
it's not exactly got the best track record
this type of thing
I don't think we are in coldwar 2, I think it might be on its way but not yet
Meh, doesn't matter as long as it benefits us @Crafty
China is actively sending cyber attacks to us
Actively stealing our intellectual property
