lmao

Kolourpaint.
Kirta
Medibang
Gimp
Paint.net

2019-11-06 20:02:37 UTC

Can't launch those through super+r (can through simple super, though, on newer windows in most situations).
But also
- All you're doing is cropping, you don't need any more of a feature set than mspaint
- MSPaint loads near instantly because it's so barebones

2019-11-06 20:03:56 UTC

Kolourpaint is nearly like MSpaint, but does take a few seconds to load.

2019-11-06 20:04:38 UTC

I've been using Krita recently

2019-11-06 20:08:38 UTC

I use mspaint and gimp

2019-11-06 20:08:51 UTC

no real need for anything else

2019-11-06 20:13:16 UTC

oh wait, I also use a thing called icofx if I specifically need to crop/scale something down to a 128 or 256 square, as it has a very, very good scaling algorithm implementation and loads faster than GIMP (tbh, *everything* loads faster than GIMP). But that's a very purpose-fit tool and all I do with it.

2019-11-06 20:43:36 UTC

The night vision game mode in CoD is pretty fun tbh

2019-11-06 20:43:49 UTC

Makes the game super slow paced in comparison to the usual game modes

2019-11-06 20:46:17 UTC

Night-modes are really unrepresented in games.

2019-11-06 20:46:25 UTC

Battlefield 4 had one as well, and that was pretty fun.

2019-11-06 20:46:40 UTC

A lot sneakier, albeit hectic.

2019-11-06 21:31:07 UTC

I thought they've been doing this with tencent, and wegame...

China cracks down on online gaming with a curfew and time limits
Minors will barely have enough time for a decent raid.

Bethesda not hiring modders to help out with their games over the last 10 years will always boggle my mind

2019-11-06 21:57:09 UTC

Look at it from the perspective of the developers.

You make a game.
It’s a good game.
It becomes a popular game to mod.
*Twelve seconds later*
“OMG this game is hot garbage without mods!”
“Look at how *shit* the vanilla textures are compared to these mods!”
“Wtfrofllmaobbq! What were the developers thinking?! This mod fixes *all the things*!”

I’m fairly sure Bethesda isn’t super keen to hire modders.

2019-11-06 21:59:14 UTC

That china gaming crackdown was bound to happen sooner or later

2019-11-06 21:59:31 UTC

China being china

2019-11-06 21:59:36 UTC

Banning everything

2019-11-06 22:00:42 UTC

I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner tbh

2019-11-06 22:01:54 UTC

@Scale_e that'd make sense after Fallout 3 or even skyrim, definitely not after Fallout 4 or especially Fallout 76

2019-11-06 22:02:19 UTC

Give it a few years.
Esports will really take off and China will start forcing kids to play games in the same way they force kids to do gymnastics and ping pong.

2019-11-06 22:03:46 UTC

@TriHelix Yeah, but that’s because F4 and F76 are garbage games.
Oh yeah. I fuckin said it.

2019-11-06 22:05:10 UTC

Like no one knows that already, it's not even a matter of having modders fix your game for free. With Fallout 76, it seems modders know the engine better than the people working at Bethesda.

2019-11-06 22:05:42 UTC

People modded in FOV sliders on the first day when it took bethesda over a month

2019-11-06 22:08:31 UTC

To me, it just screams a lack of ambition within BGS

2019-11-06 22:14:03 UTC

I remember in one of the interviews with Todd over Fallout 76, he talked about how their studio has had most of the same people working and staying together for a really long time. I wonder if this has caused them to get too comfortable and overconfident. It also doesnt that the guy writing their games since Oblivion, Emil Pagliarulo, is a terrible writer

2019-11-06 23:00:40 UTC

The entire elder scrolls universe is hot garbage.

2019-11-06 23:01:26 UTC

That's actually a mechanic they use in the world

2019-11-06 23:07:49 UTC

That it’s hot garbage?

2019-11-06 23:47:11 UTC

Yes

2019-11-06 23:47:45 UTC

When an Elder Scrolls game happens, everything that happens in that game is canon all at once, even if you mod the game

2019-11-06 23:48:42 UTC

When the game ends, all of these myriad timelines are squashed and blended together resulting in periods of extreme upheaval and political turmoil

2019-11-06 23:55:28 UTC

That's dumb and an easy way to handwave things

2019-11-06 23:55:42 UTC

At least BioWare had a "canon" timeline

2019-11-07 00:21:44 UTC

Well saving is an in-universe mechanic, as are mods, so that's how they work around those

2019-11-07 00:56:29 UTC

Valve is working on "Steam Cloud Gaming" according to partner site code update. Partners will need to sign an addendum to their terms.

Could this be a competitor to @ GoogleStadia?
