I'm more disappointed in AoE 4 announcement. Instead of Aging up they've regressed

Because I sure as hell am not going to wait a year until it comes to PC... especially with all it's flaws.

And I don't mind a "walking simulator" (since I like slow paced games like Armed Assault aka ArmA and it's successors), I just think shoe wearing mechanics and crafting weapons out of urine and feces is too Kojima mechanics to take seriously. Also while I like balance physics (which is more like proof-of-concept for his engine rather than adequate to make a game around), the load he carries is ofter so bulky that center-of-gravity should make him fall over in reality, i.e carrying that much, even if you were macho or had exoskeleton to take weight off, you'd at least have to walk crouching in order to not fall backwards.

And the irony is, I like autistic simulations of almost any topic, but especially if it's military simulation, flight simulation or even stuff like Firewatch (too bad Campo Santo are bunch of SJWs). It still needs to be **engaging gameplay** (rather than just engaging story), and by some miraculous reason, Kojima seems to have somewhat failed at making it that. Maybe by adding fourth wall breaking moments after another right from the get-go. And the difficulty, I hear, is toned down so much that it's "Games Journalist" level even when played at hardest. You can basically run from BTs in straight line. Or failing that, you can just wait to "die" and resurrect by joining back to your body. The craters created by explosions of you "dying" don't really cause much nuisance.

The game engine does look promising so I hope this isn't the end of Kojima.
