intelligent people can have opposing viewpoints though

2019-01-18 04:35:14 UTC

They can

2019-01-18 04:35:29 UTC

to write off anyone who disagrees with you as “unintelligent” seems

2019-01-18 04:35:29 UTC

Intelligent people have a long list of books they've read, concepts they understand, etc. and there is a 0% chance you studied everything they have studied in the same detail.

2019-01-18 04:35:30 UTC

But a lot of intelligent people also fall for emotional manipulation/propaganda

2019-01-18 04:35:33 UTC

idk childish

2019-01-18 04:35:40 UTC

I'm not saying that Black

2019-01-18 04:35:51 UTC

im not talkin abt what u said legitimate

2019-01-18 04:36:03 UTC

Okie doke

2019-01-18 04:36:12 UTC

People who disagree with me aren't unintelligent, but people who operate on the most basic level of understanding the world *are* unintelligent. Whether that's a MAGA Trump supporter or a shitlib.

2019-01-18 04:36:35 UTC

You usually have to be intelligent to some degree to get to a level of understanding the world that's actually somewhat accurate

2019-01-18 04:36:56 UTC

But it isn't intelligence alone, it's defeating confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance

2019-01-18 04:37:06 UTC

That leads you to the truth

2019-01-18 04:37:09 UTC

i can agree with that

2019-01-18 04:37:17 UTC

You really don't need to be exposed to a group of people saying, "Build the wall!" over and over to know immigration, nor do you need to argue with basic shitlibs who want no borders whatsoever on the basis of their moral view to study immigration.

2019-01-18 04:37:27 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-18 04:37:36 UTC

I know what mainstream politics has to offer and it's all shit

2019-01-18 04:37:57 UTC

None of it leads to the world I want to live in

2019-01-18 04:38:05 UTC

That's why so much of my argumentation is, "Why do you support this?" since it's always about someone's moral motivations to support a policy.

2019-01-18 04:38:41 UTC

The only variation is in their central motivations because they all use the same arguments over and over.

2019-01-18 04:39:17 UTC

Yeah they aren't very original

2019-01-18 04:39:20 UTC

whats your opinion of the current state of the govt rn

2019-01-18 04:39:29 UTC

It's unfixable.

2019-01-18 04:39:31 UTC

^

2019-01-18 04:39:49 UTC

There is too much corruption, too much power

2019-01-18 04:40:07 UTC

The US government has been subverted on every single level

2019-01-18 04:40:37 UTC

The size of government has never been decreased, only increased and there is nothing to stop that from happening forever except a revolution or massive crash.

2019-01-18 04:40:46 UTC

Trump is doing *some* good stuff but he's also doing some harmful things, and he isn't even the most powerful person really

2019-01-18 04:41:12 UTC

I've been mostly disappointed with Trump since I have a few key issues I do not budge on.

2019-01-18 04:41:19 UTC

Yeah same

2019-01-18 04:41:26 UTC

what are those key issues?

2019-01-18 04:41:36 UTC

Namely his flip-flopping around immigration where he isn't as extreme as people hope or fear.

2019-01-18 04:41:55 UTC

Immigration, middle east stuff

2019-01-18 04:42:32 UTC

how do you feel about the entire “russia” allegations

2019-01-18 04:45:00 UTC

It's pretty much just character defamation

2019-01-18 04:45:41 UTC

I've never done a deep dive into it, but my outside glance is that some things are really bad optics and look bad on Trump, the rest are extreme slander and libel by a powerful class of people bent on destruction.

2019-01-18 04:45:46 UTC

Trump is more in bed with Israel than with Russia, by far

2019-01-18 04:46:05 UTC

They just repeat it until enough people believe it

2019-01-18 04:46:12 UTC

With no evidence

2019-01-18 04:46:27 UTC

The MSM haven't cared about the truth for decades

2019-01-18 04:47:25 UTC

The fact that they haven't provided more evidence is evidence that it has no basis
