Just patented in America and not in Europe.

2019-09-16 21:37:58 UTC

Just a good example of how regulation can help

2019-09-16 21:38:13 UTC

Cost between presecription in us vs otc is also different

2019-09-16 21:38:18 UTC

Thats why I asked

2019-09-16 21:38:42 UTC

Prescription I am pretty sure I can get what you got in the UK and pay nothing

2019-09-16 21:39:58 UTC

With my ins

2019-09-16 21:41:05 UTC

Or, you could just regulate the drug companies and now have to worry about meme insurance

2019-09-16 21:42:07 UTC

Then why have medicare for all if just regulating drug companies will make it affordable

2019-09-16 21:43:30 UTC

My ins costs me 5k per year in premiums, with it I pay next to nothing

2019-09-16 21:44:44 UTC

Why would anyone use medicare as anything other than a worse case scenario cushion if it costs more, covers less, and puts me on a waitlist?

2019-09-16 21:47:30 UTC

Also joker if you ever come back with that citation for all the non name brand alternatives killing people, it better not be some homeopathy crystal bs.

2019-09-16 21:48:19 UTC

5k per year wow that's a lot

2019-09-16 21:48:23 UTC

Medicare for all is cheaper because of collective bargaining, like currently

2019-09-16 21:48:33 UTC

But regulation will ALSO decrease the costs.

2019-09-16 21:49:10 UTC

It's also terrible

2019-09-16 21:49:16 UTC

Shit jobs for shit money

2019-09-16 21:50:11 UTC

Also what medicare for all are u talking about because i swear everyone says they have a medicare for all plan but they are all different

2019-09-16 21:50:20 UTC

In the dems at least

2019-09-16 21:50:20 UTC

Yes.

2019-09-16 21:50:21 UTC

🙂

2019-09-16 21:50:46 UTC

5k is not alot

2019-09-16 21:50:51 UTC

Considering I make 60k

2019-09-16 21:51:27 UTC

8.3% of ur income

2019-09-16 21:51:28 UTC

Well the way pricing works is that the pharma are given domestic monopoly. That's why you hear about people buying in Mexico. It's the same drug from the same manufacturer just sold cheaper abroad.

The best answer is not regulation. Simply make importing legal. Without domestic monopoly they can't gouge. It *does* mean they would have to raise the price they sell to the lesser nations of the earth to cover R&D but I'm fine with that....

2019-09-16 21:51:32 UTC

I lose more in taxes than I do in ins premiums

2019-09-16 21:51:38 UTC

Oh wow

2019-09-16 21:51:53 UTC

Idk seems a lot to me
Im still pretty young so

2019-09-16 21:51:53 UTC

I can tell you what happens when medicare is shit

2019-09-16 21:52:02 UTC

Im only 22 my dude

2019-09-16 21:52:10 UTC

Im not an old fart yet xD

2019-09-16 21:52:10 UTC

Im literally 17

2019-09-16 21:52:13 UTC

People go to private practices and/or foreign nations and get their proper healthcare there, e.g. dental work

2019-09-16 21:52:26 UTC

Those numbers don't show up on the "medicare for all" shit

2019-09-16 21:52:42 UTC

@Tiberius

Look into concierge. It's pretty cheap then you just need major medical.

2019-09-16 21:53:00 UTC

Single payer numbers are mostly camouflaging the shit reality

2019-09-16 21:53:28 UTC

I have blue cross blue shield I am largely good my man

2019-09-16 21:53:35 UTC

Part of why it is higher is because I am obese

2019-09-16 21:53:58 UTC

Costs me an extra 550$ a year to be overweight

2019-09-16 21:54:21 UTC

But im okay with that because it costs ME 550$ to be overweight not everyone else.

2019-09-16 21:54:45 UTC

implying if someone's poor enough to need medicare they can afford to just up and go to another fucking country for any fucking reason, let alone medical care

2019-09-16 21:55:34 UTC

Concierge is kinda awesome. You pay a flat monthly for a group of doctors. They have specialist, do house calls, etc. Not too pricey either because no middle man.
