I'm a staunchly conservative vegan 🤔
I think we should eat ONLY cow farts
I don't know if climate change is legit. Probably not. But I still can't justify torturing lesser beings for my own selfish pleasure. Nor can I accept the toll double bacon cheeseburgers have on human health.
Then get a steak
REEEEE steak is bad for you too.
Protein is bad then
no, its not the protein that's bad by itself
But I mean.. this fake meat stuff is little better. We should focus our diets on whole unprocessed plant foods.
We're just not that different physiologically from every other great ape. Sure we can stomach cooked meat, and it for sure helped us survive as a dense calorie source. But that doesn't mean its optimal for human health.
both fiber consumption and fruit consumption are inversely correlated with mortality risk.
I don't have anything against veganism, I have some against people saying "all meat" and forcing shit down my throat literally
Red meat is an exotic meat in my mind and shouldn't be eaten daily. But I do it anyway sometimes
that I agree
well yeah
Fish and Chicken is no problem unless there is something I don't know.
but for me, if we can't find a benefit for humans (humans come first), then it becomes redundant to cause mass suffering of lesser beings
I'm on the fence about fish, its moreso the mercury, PCBs and dioxins from contaminated waters
I don't think it's that much of a problem for us Scandinavians
Tuna, rather not.
fish aren't as concious as cows, pigs, ect.
I can agree with that, they are like ants. Made to reproduce and do whatever their biology tells them to do.
well I wouldnt go that far lol
See I eat honey because you're not gonna convince me that a bee experiences suffering in the same way a dog does
It's ethics.
we have to draw the line somewhere
but I think when it comes to human health, fiber, folate, potassium, vitamin C, vitamin A, phytonutrients ect. are all extremely important
Thus, most people who shift from SAD to plant based experience massive shifts in blood pressure, cholesterol, ect.
Yeah, replace potatoes with vegetables, replace bread with fiber rich vegetables and nuts etc, replace red meat with leaner meats
yeah you'll be healthy if you do that
see refined carbs spike insuline and glucose, but low GI carbs have a stabalizing effect on blood sugar
I get quite the stomach ache if I eat a bit too much red meat
I can eat a 300 calory can of beans in the morning and be full until 7:00 at night
its powerful stuff.
the fiber and water of the food, the low caloric density
I dropped 50 lbs
i'm bulking
yeah so you must fo chicken breast
vegans have to do tempeh, tofu, beans, lentils
there's tradeoffs to everything
most people think that vegetarian food is just salads, raisins or whatever boring white people stuff. But in reality, there are tons of better ways to make vegan/vegetarian foods, like say Indian, my favorite, Any sort of Asian Really. I kinda cringe when I see vegans force watered lettuce down their throat when they could have bought a much more, I don't know, less dry option? spices and etc.
