The UK is their single largest trading partner, and also acts as a conduit to the EU through land borders

they should really just tell the EU and Ireland that the border is their problem to deal with, and they can do whatever they want with it, BUT the UK will not be following EU law no matter what they do.

They want to set up border customs, fine, they want no border customs, fine, but if they don't set up a border they need to be ready for non EU-custom complaint goods flowing over the border.

And if any non-Irish EU citizens walk over the border and stay too long, deport them. At first to their home country, if they keep on doing it, to a random country in the EU.
