that is an excellent point, if the ROI really wanted to reunify Ireland, they could always just re-join the UK

I'd say it's a compromise

Puts the question of NI in the hands of NI

Allows the UK to become actually independent

I'd say it's good

Anyone that was paying attention knew that there had to be some checks on imports etc

It's just getting that away from the border and into the hands of the traders and servuce providers
