After the entire manufacturing and JIT delivery system
Halted to prepare for a brexit that never happened
Car plants moved their month long yearly maintenance up to april
For example
It fucked with everything
And then parl said "LOL no we delay"
So yes
We receded in Q2
I'm not surprised
^
I work in the automation sector, I can personally speak to what bullshit that caused for our customers
They were ready as they could be to get in with it
Our suppliers were, they had shit in place to get us our stuff when we needed it
But no
And no
Prices didn't increase
Delivery terms stayed the same
And alot of them are German suppliers
The only thing they couldn't guarantee was customs tarrifs
Because that depends on what the UK levvies
The UK will tit-for-tat in tariffs
I'm personally working on 6-7 projects
More if you count what I'm supporting
And about half are Japanese companies moving production to the UK out of China
Not sure why they're not moving it to Vietnam
IE, the *new* China.
So yeah, the financial sector might be having a heart attack at the slightly lower than 10 year average growth and dip into negatives.
But the engineering sector is doing absolutely fine
Hence why I don't fear brexit at all

Automation is cheaper than people
Doesn't matter where you go
Really? Even for cheap tat?
Yes
I can understand mass-production
You can buy for example
A CNC machine (a good one) and a robot cell
That will act as the CNC machinist
For £2 per hour
