We spend almost double on a standard soldier than the US spend on a marine

and the training is longer

they are just hard to find

You also get to the point of diminishing returns

if you spend more on training

you have to spend more on equipment

they also have to be smarter and the smarter they get the less pliable they are, which is sad but true

Id say we have a happy medium for the size of our country

We have an army which is on par if not better man for man than our allies
